Ms. Tami I just wanted to thank you for posting this video of the "Poppy Seed Chicken Casserole". I love it so very much because my recently passed wife used to make it for me but I never saw how she did it. This recipe is exactly like hers. I remember coming in from work and smelling that delicious smell at the front door and then seeing her most gracious smile on her face as I walked into the kitchen... she knew that I loved this casserole. I again thank you for posting this awesome dish. Sincerely, Michael

This recipe made me think of my brother who sadly left us earlier this year. This is one of the dishes he loved to make. Thanks for posting!

I have made a rendition of this before..........it's pretty good but WOW I can't even imagine how many calories are in it!!! I also wonder if you could just place uncooked chicken breasts in the pan, pour the soup mixture over the top, bake covered for 45 minutes, then use (make) only half of the cracker mixture on top for the last 15 minutes. The chicken would be cooked through in a 350 over for an hour. Would save a lot of calories & time! lol "Normally I don't eat foods that are white." HAHAHA Tami!

I think you could have the whole chicken breasts.

Tami, if you don’t mind me asking, what do you mean you don’t eat white foods? Like no white bread or no white sauces and things like that?
@TamiDunn6 жыл бұрын
Just white sauces.

See... For me I love white sauces. Not a fan of tomato based sauces. I mean I love ravioli and spaghetti, Marinara and pasta sauces yes, but I love white sauces. Eg. Biscuits and gravy. Lol 😂

@Tami Dunn Could you guys try the (Mark Southern Style Chicken Bites Southern Style Chicken Bites). I read on a post that they taste similar to Chick Fil A nuggets. I believe they are in Sam's Club.

Looks delisious. I wonder why does it need to be in the oven for fifty minutes when everything is already cooked before you place it in the oven?
@jasonturner42653 жыл бұрын
Why not cream of chicken??? Wouldn't that make it taste more like a chicken casserole???
@TamiDunn3 жыл бұрын
You can use that if you want.

I don’t think I’ll be giving this a try as it’s too plain for me but I am wondering, why the poppy seed? If you don’t taste it, what’s the point? Also, I always giggle when you guys say grease because you pronounce it like “greeze” with a Z. I won’t be surprised if I start saying it that way soon LOL
