In my veneer search. Most have veneers made in a lab. Some in house. Is it possible to get good veneers made in house?

Hi, I have 2 silver fillings last time I asked my dentist if I should replace them he said no. I'm curious if I should request having them switched. I do have mild autoimmune issues. Don't think I need the extra toxins. They are older. I also been taking very good care of my teeth and dont want to risk the took cracking. I have one on the side 6 teeth in from front bottom. And one in my last tooth bottom back (my wisdom tooth)

My advice is not to change a restoration unless there are signs of problems or defects. Some patients want them removed due to fear or concern of the metal exposure, but that is not substantiated and I personally believe some patients are more sensitive to it than others. It's a personal choice. Do you eat organic everything? I don't think pesticides are good for you, but people can make their own choices. The point is, that the choice is up to you and I wouldn't be able to advise without seeing the full clinical situation. Best- MN

Sir what is the lifespan of biomimetic filling😌

Depends on who does it and the condition of the tooth prior to treatment because its not a product. Its still a service type and teeth that are very badly damaged can be restored and saved but thats not to be mistaken with “as good as new” condition

Do you have any advice on which types of veneers I should ask for, for the most natural look? If I’m going to put the price of a car in my mouth, I’m going to expect very natural results and 100% satisfaction. Also, I’ve seen a lot of videos but can’t tell if the veneers go under the gums a little. I smile big (which is why I chose to improve my smile vs. plastic surgery for my face 😜) and don’t want even a hint that I have veneers. I’m not “gummy,” but some gum does show. I also don’t want to feel like my teeth are jutting out, if that makes sense. Any information/advice you could give would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

It's not only the material, its the dentist, technician, and material. Some technicians are better with one material than the other. Generally, feldspathic ceramics are the most beautiful, but they are also the weakest so high bond strength and optimal technique are required to make it a durable long-term solution. Most people use lithium disilicate (e.max).

Thank you for your response. I’m screwed, though. I’m seriously nauseated by what I’ve been through so far. Last week I had my teeth shaved down. I “thought” it was only going to be a small bit off the fronts…but then my dentist put “temps” on me and when I got home and shined a light…omg….I’m pretty sure they’re nubs. 😭😭😭 And the pain I was in for 4 days straight was insane! My gums and entire face was sooo swollen. I looked like a mongoloid! I haven’t been able to eat, part of the temps (all one piece) have already cracked, and when I just gently brushed my teeth, I feel like something it loose up under my gums in the front! But all that’s not even the worst part. When I went to meet my tooth tech for shape and color in Winter Haven (Orlando area), it wasn’t professional at all! There were rows of duplexes turned into businesses in a shady neighborhood! When I entered, there wasn’t a lobby or anything, just a bunch of techs working in teeth. I was handed a photo of 10 sets of teeth and asked which ones I liked… and I held up my phone and showed him my teeth!! He had to call my dentist to ask if she had my original impressions (which I already knew she had several of), and he assured me they would look like my original teeth. 🙏 But when he walked out and left me in a rook with a tech, I was watching her work…and this woman…licked the small brush she was using and proceeded to paint on the tooth she was working on!!!!!! My goodness, I nearly fainted!! I don’t know what to do now. This is happened because I developed dry mouth from my inhalers. I didn’t want to keep going in to have new fillings and thought porcelain veneers was the answer. Now I’m seeing the beautiful, professional job you just did and I seriously feel anxious and nauseas! Why did she shave my teeth to nubs!!!! This is costing me over 10 grand for 6 veneers. And there’s no going back. I’m so distraught now. 😭😭😭😭

Dr. Matt ..are these removable veneers..Will I be able to take them out at night while I sleep
@BiomimeticDentistry Жыл бұрын
These are not removable. Removable veneers are not really a good service. They are not functional, useful, or esthetic. I do not recommend them at all and they are all just gimmicky.
