Something about blues and purples for the colours of rocks reminds me of old-school 80's He-Man. Please tell me this is the first step towards making Snake Mountain. Also the music you picked for this video reminds me of Thriller.

This is one of my favorite kinds of builds to see from you. I love that it's made with scraps, and yet the end result has so much personality. It really goes to show that we don't always have to make something that nobody has ever done before; a new execution on a basic idea can also be creatively satisfying and look fantastic too. Great job with this one!

Really liking your new video style with the little vignettes of mundaneness or thought process, it's like halfway between a vlog and a curate video, makes it really interactive and enjoyable. You're making me want to craft terrain..!!
@CreamAle3 жыл бұрын
Prior to a wash, speckle browns, dark reds, blacks, and so on with a toothbrush bristle flick. Pretty common for rocks to have several colors mixed into it. The wash mutes down the colors and ties the look together. I know these are supposed to look otherworldly so wouldn't apply much.

Not only is this build AWSOME, the editing for this video has to be one of your best yet! Those panning time lapse shots of you carving the foam were great! I think you might want to think about doing that more often when you're doing a more tedious parts of builds. Getting to see how the pieces transform as you work on them is very cool. Keep up the great work as always!

Those are great. It's strange just how disquieting angular rocks can be. On Orkney, in Scotland, there are two large stone circles: Stenness, and Brodgar, both formed of angular, asymmetric rocks that tower over you. I visited some 30 years ago, and... And they were disturbing. I don't know why, but they were. And I wouldn't have camped there at night. There are also two prehistoric tombs on the Scottish mainland, Cairnholy I and II. The stones used in Cairnholy II are like a scream in stone, and very sinister indeed. Great video, as always. Thank you.

Love the colour exploration. I’ve been doing a different colour study on stone work for a few projects. So far, a study in blue, study in green and purple and a study in beige. This one turned out so well. Don’t know how you do the time lapse with camera tracking around, but it’s a cool effect. Agree with what someone else said, you’re smashing it with the minis!

I really like the new way your video came on this week and the new technique you demonstrated! Your pointed and jagged rocks remind me of the movie 'Chronicles of Riddick!' The part where he's on the triple max prison planet called "Crematoria".that gets something like 1000 degrees below zero at night and +1000 degrees during the day and burns every living thing to death! There is a 20-minute buffer zone between day and night that's survivable! So awesome rocks! LOL

Some time ago I told you about certain concerns about the LED lighting of the painting chamber, and every time I see it I keep thinking about the fact that they will end up covering up with the paint and that, because of that I have just come up with a very simple solution, cover the led strips with a strip of transparent tape, the light will continue to pass through anyway and every time it gets stained you can just remove the tape and put another one.
