I enjoy your videos! I'm so glad your using a preservative, so many people just use water and essential oil or fragrance. Just a tip it's best to mix your poly 20 and fragrance/EO together really well first so that they can bond before adding in the preservative and water. If you let those sit together too for about 10 min before you add the other ingredients it can help keep it from turning milky or cloudy too!

Hey Erica! Love the video as usual! You are doing such a good job. Congrats on 50k in a year. That’s awesome. I started making room linen and body mist last year also. They are so easy to make and they smell so good.The scents really last as well. I was having trouble pouring also without making a mess. I found small funnels very helpful. I use a lower amount of FO. Like around 2% depending on the scent and it still comes out really strong without staining any of the fabrics that I have tested... so far lol. Just sharing to save you some FO and keep the price down. I’m not sure if it makes a difference but I mix the thick liquids together first with one of those little battery operated whisk ( I don’t know what you call them) and then I pour in the water. My last tip, would be to increase you recipe by a bit because it will come up short sometimes. So that will compensate for shortages and spills. As well as if you put a little extra in each bottle your customers can spray/test some of the scents when you are selling at a market and still purchase a full bottle of product. Awesome vid! Polysorbate is an emulsifier. Definitely needed when your wanting to mix an oil with water. I use to buy food grade polysorbate when I made room sprays with essential oils.

I love this formula!! Take note of the recommended % of each fragrance (some may very) and at 5% maybe add a safety notice that may irritate skin or not intended as a body spray. I know u r very thorough about safety precautions 😁

you can use polysorbate 80 if you want your room spray to stay clear. also it depends on the fragrance oil. sometimes it will still be cloudy. thank you for your video.

Well 1) I am so happy to see your channel grow! I can tell you will continue to flourish and 2) I would love to win because you literally changed my life. I used to love making candles I actually made them in high school and I was really good at it (considering it was a kit I was using at the time lol) Fast forward 8 years or so later, I grew up, got married, and had a great job. Until I got let go after coming back from my wedding. I was devastated and lost and confused about what to do with myself. I have to admit that your videos are very inspiring. Your presentation is excellent and on the level that everyone can understand. My story is a pretty funny one as far as candle making is concerned. My girlfriend is a Yankee Candle aficionado and knows their candles like the back of her hand. Every time we went to a Yankee Candle. I would start to get bored and go find a place to sit down and wait for her to finish buying her candles as she always seemed to have BOGO coupons and then I would have to lug the bags to the car. Any time we went to the mall, I always attempted to not go near the Yankee Candle store but that never seemed to work. Fast forward -- Due to COVID, I had been working home since March 2020 and then laid off in November 2020. At my age, 60, I was not very confident that I could get hired by another company. I watched your video on making candles and really found it to be interesting which really blew my mind due to the slight distaste of being in a Yankee Candle store for long periods of time. I then went and made a candle or two following your instructions using a Cinnamon and a Sandalwood FO. Man was that cool! I then watched your video on starting a candle business and that was all it took. I have now come up with a business name, developed a plan, and created an accounting system. My first production will take place in a couple of weeks as I am waiting on supplies for jar candles and melts. I think I will be adding room sprays to the product list. The bad thing is that I now have to hear from my girlfriend about how wrong I was about candles. That's OK, she is the official scent sniffer for the company and excited about this new venture. Now, why do I deserve to win? I could answer that with because I am new to this business and could use the boost with these vessels as they look awesome and would give me a chance to research different vessels. However, the real reason I would like to win is to make some awesome candles to present to my girlfriend for putting up with my "I don't want to be at this Yankee Candle store" attitude for the past few years and that she was right!
