If you link summon Rainbow using spell traps while Cloud is on the board, Cloud will trigger to return two of the canvases used as material to the board, meaning you made a link 3 for 1.

Hello, die-hard Weather Painter player here. I'm so happy this deck is finally getting some love, but some things I saw here were a little off. I won't delve into misplays because who cares, but the list was very off. The Rain Painters, The 2nd Sun Painter, 2 Kaijus, Sunny Canvas, and the Aurora Canvas were unnecessary inclusions. In Weather Painters your opening hand is an Any % speedrun to Snow Painter so running Piri Reis Map, 2 Extrav and Maxx "c" is a must for the deck.

Hello fellow painter, i just want to confirm about why i put those cards, Rain painters is for activating spell/trap during your opponent's turn,something like chain 1 painter with rainbow canvas effect to summon rain painters, chain 2 painter with snowy canvas to look for spell trap you need Sun painters is when i need a trap that is already on my hand, but cant activate it that turn, so i usually use sun painter from gy to summon itself + activating 1 canvas(usually trap) from hand, also work pretty good with cloud painter since sunny painter require to send spell/trap to gy 2 kaijus because damn i lost to tower multiple times Xd, also with thunder canvas you can kaiju 2 of your opponent monster in 1 turn Sunny canvas is for otk, if you have enough monster in hand or gy, you can easily surprising your opponent with it I kinda agree that Aurora canvas is actually not pretty good, but if you know when to use it, it's pretty good (banishing invocation from enemy's hand for example after they search it with aleister, never fail to entertain me lol) Also i feel guilty enough when i put skill drain so i dont use another floodgate(not in the question, just want to explain why i dont put something like anti-spell or d-fissure), also yea you can put maxx c in it, sometimes i also put maxx c, sometimes i didnt feel like it so i take it out xd Piri is good, it gives you huge boost of consistency, but i got otk'ed by 1 accesscode way too many times when i used that card, so i take it out Hopefully this explain why i put those cards, feel free to edit the decklist, it wasnt mandatory to play those card, it just my thing to play deck the pepega way, peace

@@maunabesanika I just don't like too many non-snow names in 40. That's why I cut down on names that aren't immediately proactive and max out on Piri Reis Map. Then for similar reasons why you cut cards I cut out Kaijus from my list because they just stuck in my hand doing nothing until I had a way to deal with them or lock my opponent in with Rivalry. It's worth noting that I am reconsidering Kaiju's in the deck because of the Spright cards. I religiously use Sun Painter. The grave recursion is too valuable in my eyes because sometimes I don't want to use 3 canvases for the link or need a body I don't care about losing. Then if I had room in my usual builds for Sun Canvas I'd play it since it's one of the most proactive Canvases besides Snowy and Cloudy. I play it a lot in festivals though when the power level is a bit lower. Nothing tops a Weather Painter OTK jumpscare. It was nice to talk about the theory with you. I don't get this luxury a whole lot. Cheers!

As a fellow Weather Painter enjoyer I can assure you the deck is based, if we get rainbow is almost GG, however most of our strength relies in the opponent not knowing how to interact with our cards, activating lightning storm against Aurora or Cloud, Forbidden lance their monsters instead of mine, attacking with Thundery canvas on field, most of my opponents just decide to not read and die as a result.

I like many others thought the intro was too long, but its sad to see the entire intro go. A lot of work was put into it. I think it could come back, but trimmed down. My suggestion would be, and would have been before this, to cut down the examples specifically. The original intro had somewhere from 3-5 different long descriptions of jank deck types that padded the entire thing out, and hearing another description start at thr third or fourth time got tedious. A version of the intro with only like two of those deck descriptions would work a lot better.

Small World is so good in this deck there are so many bridges possible using handtraps to access names, and most importantly Snow is soo searchable with this, here are a few examples: Shifter -> Veiler/Droll -> Snow / Thunder or Cloud if Droll Veiler/Droll -> Shifter -> Snow Weather name -> Aurora -> Weather name Ash -> Veiler/Droll -> Snow I'm not really aware if there are many lines using Maxx C, I've mostly thought about this in the TCG. Its statline doesn't work so well with the deck I think. I guess it could be a bridge for Snow since they're both earth, but I don't know what the reveal would be. Pankra? I don't really know

the weather painters get scary as the turns goes by., most decks cant even play against 3omni negate. imagine the worth/equivalent of rainbow in comparison with other decks end board. rainbow with 3x monster = 4x solemn strike/judgement = synchro end board of stardust = generic omni synchro monster = disco ball with 4x fairy. it's easy to summon but the good thing is that weather painter cant otk immediately., so you will have a turn to draw your out.

It pains me that Weather Painters are so slept on. The new support it got is fucking crazy, it's not meta but I think it's a very solid anti-meta rogue deck. It's my favorite deck and the momentum it builds is ridiculous, if they live to turn 3 they're basically guaranteed to outgrind you.

Aside of D.Fissure & "Skill issue", I respect WP players... Like (MD) Traptrix they start weak, but being able to recover themselves from Duster with Cloud for example, isn't something many control decks can do (To end up on negate spam sadly) They're 2nd place thou, still based for a good Altergeist pilot

You can still activate effects and pay costs, but the on field effects are negated. The weather cards pay their cost to banish themselves and the effect resolves in the banish pile. Therefore isn't effect by skilldrain.

WP monsters is not face-up on the field at the moment of resolution, thus dodging the Skill Drain's effect.

Skill Drain only negates the effects of monsters on the field. The Weather Painters remove themselves from the field for cost and so Skill Drain does not apply to them when they resolve.

@@nichole2497 While you are correct that Weather Painters effects work under Skill Drain because they banish themself for cost, please keep in mind the reason it works is because Skill Drain only negates effects of monster that are face-up on the field at resolution, and a Weather Painter that banished itself for cost is obviously not. In Yu-Gi-Oh, effects always resolve where they activated.

Out of all the fanbase, Runick players have the least amount of reading comprehension. I bounced their field spell back with Spiritualism and they tried to Judgement it and quit being I could have made 4000 easily.
