I have a goofy ojama deck that is purely about hard locking your opponent’s field turn one, pulling out aroma jar and having cards to keep it safe from card effects- ended a match recently with 19500 health and they could only play one spell and one monster all game😅 It’s a easily brickable deck, so I rarely use it in ranked- but omg is it fun/funny af when it does work properly (it runs one king, 2 knight, ground fissures, and trap trix stuff to help find what you need, you win off of surrenders/decking someone out/ magical cylinders and similar cards)

Runick is the WORST deck ever created. This deck is SO "FUN" played two games and both were Runick stun I got D-fissured in both games as Tear Horus and the vanity card that makes it so I can't activate effects. I hope Huginn and Muninn both die and runick fountain gets BANNED. I hate how Josh say's its a "resource management" deck but In reality its just stun with extra steps

I haven’t played the game in forever, came back and tried a Darklord deck as a skilled player of it and I got wrecked constantly. I remember when they used to introduce new gimmicks like synchros and XYZ’s, but players weren’t forced to play by that format. Instead, now it’s heavily based to where you have to change to modern decks to win and because the meta constantly gets cycled out, there’s really no opportunity to play fun decks. I invested into a Kashtira deck and only a month later the deck was hit heavily. It’s a lot less fun to play the game when you’re forced to buy relevant decks only to know they’re going to get nerfed within a couple months and likely will never see play again. The economical state of the game has gotten insane too

I played two month ago in my local tournament, my first ever tournament, with ghoti, we were 16 people and I placed 6th, if I wouldnt had mistake against Branded I would have arrived second after a pure snake eyes. Other decks were runick stun, Centur-ion (2:0), Branded chimera (0:2), Sky striker, Floo (2:1) and synchron turbo

back then, we were so naïve thinking a cute card with a +1 effect is OP. now we have cards that are 1 card OTK combo of themselves with almost ZERO archetype commitment because you can splash them at ANY deck. Tenpai for example are so small, you can fit their entire engine on your side deck, and if you main deck them, you can put practically all handtraps in the current META on your main deck and still could probably have some spots for tech cards.

Savage Dragon and Baronne deserved to get banned for the longest time. Its not even disagreeable.

This reminds me of the time a friend of mine brought his meta deck to my house, so I dug out my old Warrior deck from Goat format (it wasn't complete toolbox because I was 13 when I made it), and I top decked Mataza the Zapper and 2 Axe of Despair's. I just OTKd him with 2 face attacks. Granted, that was the only game I won all night, but it sure was funny.

As an livetwin enjoyed, I feel so seen by this video. Is my boss monster powerful? Kinda. Can my cards loop out of grave? Sometimes. Does my first turn survive more than 1 interruption? If I draw a godhand. At my locals I used to be to win 1 or 2 out of 4 matches, but nowadays I'm lucky to win 1-2 Rounds per tournament.

One of the only advantages rogue deck have is that the opponent doesn't know what you're doing. I have the problem that (as a LiveTwin player) my deck has been part of a really meta deck so everybody knows what I'm doing. Yeah I'm having real trouble winning

I somewhat agree. Certain strategies do end up being outscaled, especially whether it actually gets support or not. Fire Fist is a decent example. Its so cumbersome in today's meta that even when you give it a card to get around the high cost, its still not enough. Granted... Probably putting that text on a link 2 wasn't the best choice and was just bait, but that's beside the point. That being said, not all strategies are bad. Its undeniable that the format right now is bs and honestly they should have thought through the Snake-Eye cards before printing them. Giving a deck near infinite cycling with removal that can restrict the amount of spell and traps you can play while denying destruction effects is a bit um... strong. Basically letting them go full combo on either turn is also a bit... strong. So while some people have to admit its not 2004, rouge decks have their place. Konami needs to chill on their power creep. Otherwise, the market for these will become outrageously more expensive since they are heading towards every pack means everyone MUST build a deck from it. They knew what they were doing releasing Fire King with Snake Eyes around and full power as well.

Lemme guess? rogue decks get hit because broken meta deck abuse the only avenue that rogue have being decent?

I don't play meta and I always played around the 50/50 or 60/40 rate, even at high tier events like YCS or Nationals. Yesterday I went to German Nationals and went 2/8. And one was because my opponent didn't read at all and just walked into my deck the whole time. I broke the entire board of voiceless voice and SE several times and ruined their entire set-up, yet it wasn't enough to close the gap. Guy playing voiceless literally said "yeah, I'm not reading any of your cards" and just plowed through 5 negates to ultimately win. Absolutely frustrating how different power levels are right now. Either you play the big 4 or you basically lose via matchup. And even the table 500 decks were mostly just meta. The only non-meta deck I played against was illusion Chimera and even that is more meta than sharks by a long run.

Even if Snake Eyes gets bombarded by a new ban list, another engine/deck will take its place as a worse evil.

I have seen two different series of these and I got to say they are great. I want to see people play the other game with pre-made and "simpler" decks.

I suggest Konami to create different universe like the anime
