Is it that good? Seem to be pretty complicated workflow?
@DanizTVАй бұрын
@@magnuseriksson8081 to me it's one of the simplest electron boxes to use. You don't need any knowledge about sound synthesis or technical stuff to use it, works with any sample and sound, and you can control any MIDI device with it. (And if you are lazy, there are amazing presets you can use, see Ezbot)

@@magnuseriksson8081 the beauty of the Octatrack lies in its uniqueness. If you are familiar with the Elektron workflow, it unveils its simplicity and at the same time its incredible power. This video is a great example of this :)

It’s giving the slightest little bit of 15 Step by Radiohead minus the guitars and way more techno/despondent. Love the duality of this track!

would you consider doing a breakdown video on how this track was assembled in the OT?

Great as usual Jay! Epic track: I wish horizontal crossfaders was used more for important groovebox/synth/sampler functions - the octa and how you perform with it explains Why

Would this be overkill if I wanted one mainly just for percussion and beats/rhythmic suites? I keep seeing it truly can do an entire track alone but I like sculpting my stuff in daw or mixer with my various synths so solely looking for an intricate device that can keep up with the flow, and of course allows me to upload my own samples to it. This video stuck out for I like the capabilities this one specifically has. But I notice it’s used to build legit songs hence my question. Fantastic video! This thing just looks insanely fun!!

I'm actually more interested in the templates/scenes than individual samples. Do you have that available, ala EZBOT?

I make these scenes specifically for each song, so I don't have templates. I usually try to accommodate requests like that on my Patreon, though, and it's easy enough to grab a bank/project from the Octa.
