Happy to help! Maybe you already saw this video, but I did use this technique (sort of) to make a border for a page: kzbin.info/www/bejne/i4jUfZxrh996ppo TYSM!

Thanks for this! Had the exact same experience with the Gypsy, and when they stopped supporting I left the Cricut “family” and only came back when they uploaded all my old carts. I went through that process of emailing the front and backs of the physical carts. Pain, but I paid for them so I wanted to use them!

It really is! I hardly ever use my Cricut machines, but making a quick title or word on here will be my go-to now!

They look great 😃 glad to see more scrapbooking! I take the mirror card cuts and put them shiny side up on my Gemini plates, then put an embossing folder over then (smooth outside). It flattens those edges 😆

Thank you for sharing this video. I never considered the offset feature to create shadow layers for sentiments. And you are absolutely right about the process for adding your old cartridges to your design space. I have over 250 cartridges. I refuse to pay an annual fee for images and fonts I previously purchased and they no longer support digitally. I had to photograph each cartridge write the serial number under it and send it to Cricut. It was a long process, but everything I ever purchased from Cricut I still have access too. Not to mention I still have my old Cricut Expression machine, Jukebox, and yes even my outdated non functioning Gypsy. Heck I even have the Cricut cake machine too.

Thank you for your comment! I totally forgot about the jukebox, that is one thing I never picked up. I do have my gypsy, and it still works, and I have both sizes of cricket cake, too! Lol! The only machine I got rid of pretty quickly was the Imagine. Cricut dropped supporting it after a few years and it was just so big and heavy. It had to go! lol!!
@Daniel-Sathekge137 ай бұрын
@@VianneyCreates I never bought the Imagine but I did get a few of the Imagine Cartridges because you can use them on the Expressions 2 machine. I bought that as well, but never used it. I was crazy about Cricut. Now Anna Griffin takes all of my money. LOL.

I appreciate all the time you take to explain the steps. I never think of using my cricut maker for scrapbooking. I still have the original that uses the cartridges and had no internet connection.

Hold onto your Expressions! I love mine as I can use all of my cartridges. TYSM!

Glad it was helpful! Cricut is always changing Design Space, so I try to follow up from time to time. Give some easy info for making a few nice things. I've tried to watch Cricut KZbinr videos, and it' like they are speaking a different language. I try and keep it simple and doable.

I looooove my Gypsy, she still works, too! I think I had loaded pretty much all of my cartridges at the time, so she's ready to go! LOL!

Thanks for the video, Vianney. I started watching/subscribed to your videos when I found out about Tonic Studios. Thanks for all the project hints in using their dies. I am hoping I misunderstood your comment about hooking up our old cricut cartridges to our Joy. I never downloaded my cartridges to the gypsy. Does that matter? I had read, recently, that you could download from your cricut to your computer or just download the cartridge by the usb port on your computer. I really hope I don't have to jump a bunch of hoops. Thanks again.

I loved my gypsy !! 😢 But it stopped working and they stopped supporting it. Thank you for this, need to dust off my Joy, literally 😅😅
@VianneyCreates7 ай бұрын
Wow, luckily...my Gypsy still works but I just don't reach for it. I would love if they supported it again..I guess that's what a laptop or phone are for. I loved using the layers options...even images! Anyway, they should just use the same software, it was great!
