@@Church_Builder Popcorned Planet channel reacted to JLo's autobiography movie trashing it showing alot of it. Her legal team copyright struck him. He accepted the lawsuit and they backed down. He got his strike back. He said they can't scare him with a losing lawsuit just cause it made her look bad and it's fair use and he will fight it. So if they won't go through courts for copyright then no way is Chantal going to be able to do it.

I was that new audience member that found her channel when searching for Bangkok vloggers but soon realized I was in for a rude surprise. She lost my subscription and my view. Now I watch some videos about her out of curiosity to learn more about her but overall, I don’t think she will be able to gain or retain new viewers the way she works. Thank you. I’ve only been watching Foodie via Gorl World for 6 months and there’s so much “inside baseball” talk I’m often lost. I was wondering how would anyone new to just her channel know what she’s talking about and why would they stay? She rages about reactors and events from 2-5 yrs ago without explanation. She sits and eats, mostly in silence and blocks/verbally abuses people in her lives for asking simple questions or making constructive comments. I don’t know how she expects to grow her channel. Ding ding ding ding ding! This has been my suspicion since he suddenly couldn't make it to Thailand. He's figured out he got out-catfished. She's 10 years older, 200lbs heavier, cannot take care of herself (health or hygiene), she can't do anything, doesn't even *want* to do anything unless incentivized by food...other than the KZbin money and promise of Canadian citizenship, what is there for him in the relationship? Public shame any time he steps foot in public with her, or any time she boots up a stream to talk about her butt bleach? Salah sucks, *do not mistake me,* but she is absolutely worse lol, and he's finally started to realize she's stringing him along as long as she can. 100% why he hit 'her friend' with that advice about ending the relationship if 'her friend' was so unhappy...he can't get rid of her without it looking like he abandoned her in a foreign patriarchal country where she doesn't know the language. It'll kill what little YT success he has on his own. I have never watched her channel directly , and frankly only found out about her from a reaction channel that was covering someone else & then I learned of her thru them when they started covering her. I would never watch her directly. She is mad because she had to take that video down for something and while she did others posted it and in her mind now feels less people watched it direct from her. This wouldn't be taking place if she hadn't had to take that down & do more then 5 min of editing. She is going to learn what she wants to do isn't going to work out in her favor. What she's been needing for the longest time is a serious reality check. And not the 'mild' kind like when her BG got really high and she was near ketoacidosis.. clearly that did nothing to wake her up. I now watch under 5 reactors and even then, it's not bc I'm curious about her antics; it's bc I want to hear from some of my fav creators. I admit that there are channels that do nothing but show her or ALR’s whole video. That isn’t fair use. But many comment and transform the videos. I believe this is all Salah. Well, tbf, she's thinking ahead. Reaction channels tell new audiences the truth about old Chantal. That means less profit for Chantal, because she can't play the dutiful Muslim wife character if everyone remembers that time she did OF, or smoked up in Thailand, or any of her other shenanigans. She's easier to see through when there are a dozen reactors exposing her lies on a daily basis. It's not about the views, it's about keeping the viewers ignorant.

Chantal has always been desperately under the delusion that she’s good at her job. However, everything she does is at a bare minimum level. She has the views that she currently does because she was willing to do what no one else was willing to do, and that was document in graphic detail the misfortunes of her life. Back when my channel was active (I did puppetry videos for several years and was doing okay for a bit), there were all these bad actors who wanted us to join their creator networks, promising to help avoid copyright issues and to make endorsement deals on our behalf. They were all scams, pretty much, and I just can't help but think that Chantal's legal service isn't the most ethical version of this kind of company, because she's just not big enough a channel to afford something truly legit, if that sort of service is "legit" to begin with.

Genuinely curious if people who found their channel by accident would subscribe and stay invested. If some poor soul happens to stumble upon her content, they will very quickly realize that there is a whole other world connected to her as Foodie Beauty. She cannot separate the two and try to build a new audience being who she is and has been, online.

She really doesn't get fair use. Fair use is incredibly powerful for content creators. Nearly everything makes a video a new creation. As I always say when talking about fair use and copyright law on youtube: Watch the case of Sargon of Akkad vs. Akilah obviously. He took her video, cut it differently, uploaded it onto his channel and still won the copyright case. Despite living in the UK. Judges even took into consideration that nobody who watches his channel would come to hers, as he was a known "opponent" politically. So no damage was done and no viewers were stolen. If you don't have the "fuck you" kind of money, you shouldn't engage in these battles. If you're a major record label or Hollywood player, that's a different thing.

To hire an Atty is extremely expensive, and it HAS to be paid, most of it up front, then q few months. Now we know, there is no Atty that will take the case, Not a one. If she went pro-se, she would be 100% ignorant of how to proceed, in America, A Federal Judge/or Judges would have to agree its worthy to look and, is it worth the Judges time, his/her staff, is there any merit. More than likely 100%, the Judge would 86 it ALL and possibly "fine" foodie a monetary amt. Like everything, FB is ignorant that any Atty that took one lawsuit for her would charge her in excess of $20,000 together started, $20,000 is extremely conservative in 2024/5, that was 30 years ago, and that was only taking a case and starting, NOT the q2monthly charges up to 10grand, again 30 years ago. As usual, fb and alr are bullying, and threatening, going forward, no lawsuit will ever happen.

The services she's talking about aren't lawyers or legal teams. They're just companies that help KZbinrs. They charge a monthly fee for them to technically do things you can do yourself, like checking for videos using your content and striking the channel. Things like following up on a copyright claim isnt included in that monthly fee. To copyright each video takes paperwork and there is a $120 charge for EACH video. They don't go to court in the US or other countries for you. That would cost thousands and thousands. They're just a third party secretary type company that will do the work for her that she's too lazy to do herself. Her channels are barely making any money, she's going to have to lay out $100s into $1000s. to do anything that she thinks she can do.

Let’s say the advertising company started making more money from those commercials than Geico was….that doesn’t mean I’m gonna buy their car insurance just because I love the commercials. This analogy might be faulty because I don’t really know how finances work with advertising but I don’t have to like Geico to enjoy the commercials. Now granted, reactors do make money from her content but it’s a mutually parasitic relationship. Both benefit and both would suffer without the other. I kinda suspect these copyright companies are like the ones on TV that claim to protect you from identity theft for a fee…when freezing your accounts on the 3 credit bureaus, at no cost, takes care of most of the problem. And I’ve heard they don’t actually do all that they promise anyway. Fair use is fair use…doesn’t matter if some fancy company takes it to court. Added…by fancy company i mean the copyright protection ones…not NBC or Disney….but Chantal ain’t NBC or Disney.

Here’s the thing Sansa, it’s ONLY stealing views if one person can only give ONE view, but that’s not true. One person can give multiple views to multiple creators on the same subject. If people are not watching HERS, it’s only because they CHOSE not to go to her video. She never looks within no asks - what’s wrong with my video that is not attracting like others?

Lol its funny, i watch 2-4 reactors every time she posts a video/livestream. It never crosses my mind to watch her content. I dont like her, dont want to support her. I do want to support creators like you Sansa, you bring value with your data focused content - something Foodie wishes she could do.
