Good timing. I used a blurred out effect on the color node for a video im working on.

Another great explanation John, thanks. I don't currently do any colour correcting (I'm too scared!) but can you explain the benefit of using nodes in the colour page please? I would have thought all the corrections could be done within one node, so there must be a reason for using nodes that I am missing, but I can't find an explanation anywhere. Btw, bonus tip I just found out (you probably already know), rather than using Ctrl+z for undo, you can just hit the tilde key!

Ahh, multiple nodes in Color - well, sometimes you *need* multiple nodes to achieve an affect [like the example with blurring + depth map], but as I understand it, doing one thing per node is the recommended workflow, in case you have to adjust something or take out one change without affecting the others [you can use CTRL+D to disable a node]. As for the tilde, I've seen the shortcut, but on Windows machines, CTRL+Z is an industry standard for programs, so I long ago memorized that and it just works. Great if you can remember the ~ though!

@@GreyBiker99 Yeah, I guess I should've included that in the video - my mistake!
