You are an amazing artist. I took sculpturing in college many moons ago...I am just starting out and bought a cheap baby to paint. I am hoping to make my own babies one day. But for now, you are amazing and I thank you for taking your time and effort to help others. I just bought your paints, so glad they do platinum & tin silicone. You make me laugh 😂 the new way of stopping us banging in to a garage door, rather then braking hahahah... oh dear.. Can I ask? Why do you dab with a small applicator all over the body as a posed to brushing with a paint brush? Do you sand the baby after you bake it? How do you get it smooth cause every time you touch it the clay moves.. I’m sorry I just have so many questions and I don’t know how to get the answers 😞😩 i really appreciate any advice xx I am following you on fb as well xx

Dolly Mae Porter I think boy or girl it’s the same process really. AA babies would need a whole different set of colours and soon I will work out how to do that and do a video on it. I’m currently sculpting an AA baby so will get lots of practice in

If you put the baby in the oven is it safe(for us)? Can we still used it for food?

Mercedes Valenzuela Yes, Silicone is non toxic but if you use toxic solvents such as Naptha you woukd need to give the solvent time to evaporate before putting in oven so leave ten minutes or so before baking. When working with any solvent or product always refer to manufacturers information - don’t just take my word for it being safe, I’m not an expert I just show how I do it xx

It's called SAM Silicone Finishing Powder, or Silicone Velvet. I use both those brands.

How do you know what size eyes to use when sculpting?

Melissa Stewart well it’s a bit trial and error, but generally for a 20” I use 20mm eyes and for 18” I use 18mm eyes (purely coincidentally I’m not sure that formula still works for minis)
