I clean in between cooking too. Even when something spills in the oven I put my oven mits on and wipe it up when it still luke warm so I don't have to clean the whole oven so often. I put the lower rack on the oven door while I wipe it up with a wet rag. Good idea on making the pies and freezing them.

Love your pie day. My kids and I have cookie day.( It’s actually a whole weekend.) We bake, make ornaments ,watch movies ,open small cookie day presents , and drive around looking at Xmas lights in the evening. I think we’ve been at it about 16 years. We look forward to it as much as the holiday itself.

Love Pie day.. you should try the Toll house chocolate chip pie..it's delicious. The kids would love it too. My mom made it every year for my boys. I miss her baking days. We had to so much fun in the kitchen baking for my our family and friends.. now she sits and watches me..and date nut squares were her specialty along with moldy mice cookies. I'm with Jake..I would rather have Pie..not a big cake fan..especially Birthday cake..yuck lol..
