Great video boss. Just a heads up Grainger has the aluminum for about 10 bucks for an 8' stick of 1/8" x 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 angle. I used it to frame out my boat for decking. Free in store pickup. Thanks again for the video.

I realize you posted this video a while back just was wondering what those lights where and maybe where you got them I think it's a good idea and wanted to try it.
@brianbrown47774 жыл бұрын
I got them at Walmart, I've seen the same type at the auto part stores also.

Do you recall how many watts they were? I want to be able to see the rods but I don't want to Blind the fish or run the battery down to quick. were they called any thing special such as driving lights, fog lights etc...
@brianbrown47774 жыл бұрын
@@cliff0dean I believe they are a fog/driving light I've had them on for 6 hours with out an issue. You shouldn't have an issue with running off fish. Guess it depends how deep you're fishing and clarity of the water

Nice set up. I'm have a problem figuring out how to notch out the conduit. Would you explain how you did it?
@FishingHype-catch-the-hype7 жыл бұрын
Danny Rock I used a pair of tin snips and just marked the legs on the bases notch them out and you're good to go.

Where did you get the star base fixture's?
@FishingHype-catch-the-hype7 жыл бұрын
Daniel Waugh I got mine at the tackle shop that I managed. You can get the at Bass Pro Shop or most box stores like that. Your local shop may be even to order them.

Curious, How do you keep the 18" plate from spinning on you while trolling?
@FishingHype-catch-the-hype7 жыл бұрын
James Casler there is a washer and wing nut holding down. you just tighten that down when you have the angle you want.
@JimmyOFT4Life7 жыл бұрын

I'm not a fan at all of spider rigs. n my state, you can only use a maximum of three rods, and I don't even do that. I don't see spider rigs as the least bit sporting. If your goal is only to catch a lot of fish, fine, but if your goal is to be sporting, and, I think, to have a lot more fun, then one rod should be all you need.
@FishingHype-catch-the-hype7 жыл бұрын
James Ritchie everyone has their preference , pontoons here on Okeechobee will have 20+ rods around the boat. They are there to catch supper not sport fish.

Believe me brother I was the same way but you get tired of goin’ and the fish are way to spread out and you want to bring Specks home to eat. Spider riggin’/trollin’ seems to be the best to do when they are spread out and you get tired of not bringin’ them home to eat for supper. So it comes in handy to spider rig. It’s better usin’ that method than not catchin’ fish when you go out. But I will say I hate when they do spider riggin’ on fishin’ shows though lol 😂.
