Making Spooky Trees with Jon Raven Visser

Some of you had asked me to do a step by step tutorial on how I have been making spooky trees for my little Lemax Spookytown Halloween village display, so here it is. Hope you find this informative and helpful so that you too can make trees very cheaply for your villages as well! Obviously I should point out wire cutters and hot glue gun are used in this video and therefore adult supervision and help should be used when making these. That being said... have fun!

Great tutorial! I wonder if you used wax paper instead of paper if the hardened glue would peel right off. Thanks for posting!

+Siouxsie Sherman Oh yes I am sure it would be much better!! Since making this tutorial... I have improved my process by using a heavy metal washer on the base to weight in down... and I started adding black felt to the bottom to make it more finished product too. Sometimes adding small leaves to the branches is cool too. Many ways to make different looking ones!

Siouxsie Sherman I don't have anymore tutorials yet. I will try and do some more since your interested. The straws I used here, were poles... for halloween carnival bunting flags to further set the carnvial mood of my spookytown village. Thank you for the support on my music. It is my true dream for sure!

I use similar straws as lamp posts on my Carnival - you can buy TO8 micro SMD LEDs fittings that make perfect lights for your carnival or other seasonal displays!
