Another great video Beki, but why do you use imperial measurements?
@vectric2 жыл бұрын
Hello Karl, we do try to keep to imperial where we can just to be consistant, but every so often a metric project will slip in. As we are sure you know it is easy to switch to metric if you need to... :)

Love your shirt! In the software, you have X running left to right. On the machine you have it running front to back. Is your machine set up for the X axis to run front to back or did you change things in the software before saving g-code? I teach a CNC class at our local makerspace using the top from the Snow Burst Cube files from Vectric to make a coaster. Maybe I'll just play your video from now on. ;-) -- We use V Carve Pro Makerspace Edition to benefit our members. Thank you Vectric!

Hello Richard... thanks for the comment. Yes good spot on the axis on our machine. You are correct and we do think about that when we are creating our files. Sometimes we need to rotate the job to make it fit or for better video production. Thanks so much for using our software in your Makerspace!

Thank you for another great project! Can you please share with us where to get the dowel pins?

Hello Mark... they were purchased from Ebay here in the UK - www.ebay.co.uk/itm/254196935764?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26meid%3D4c21c9df5e324d05841e3de44259c54c%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D9%26rkt%3D14%26sd%3D165425248965%26itm%3D254196935764%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2380057&_trksid=p2380057.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%3A76bdd981-b96d-11ec-ab5e-2e9712af281a%7Cparentrq%3A17a383111800a0dab6090b66fffc2930%7Ciid%3A1

@@vectric I'm looking for a similar source of pins in the US. Can you tell us the length of pin chosen for this project? The site you've linked to isn't for a specific size - the buyer can choose out of many different sizes.

Hello, Where do you suggest to buy a starter cnc machine from? Also do you have courses?
@vectric2 жыл бұрын
Hello Daniel, thanks for the question. This is a hard one to answer seeing as it depends on many things - bugdet, size required for making the things you want and many more. What we suggest you might want to consider is to gather up what your needs are and have a look at different machine manufactures and look to their reviews, or have a poke around the social platforms, like Instagram. You could have a look at our feed and see what our users are using for machines and DM them for any questions or ask for a review.
