Just discovered you. Enjoying the videos. I like what you've done with the shelter. I've looked on temu and can't find any clear tarp cheaper than £40. Can you share the link please. Thanks

@joannedarke7821 The problem with temu is the prices go up and down all the time. I bought the tarps 10 weeks ago, they took 8 weeks to arrive.

A bit off topic regarding young palms, what size would you start to plant out from pot to ground? It would be nice to start the garden footprint next year rather than growing everything in pots

@essexhognose1808 Hi, it would depend on what type of palm and your location. If your talking trachycarpus or chamaerops, you can plant out at any size. Canary palm or washy, I'd keep in pot's and get some size on them first. Alternatively you could plant any out if your willing to protect them 👍

@@jimspalmsuk5098 yep, I've got a few different Trachycarpus locales that I would want to get down next year. It might mean a few cloches or covers for a while but I'm on the Thames just outside a London so not too chilly in the grand scheme of things The small Butia, Brahea and Jubaea might have to wait a while as they might take a bit more forever home planning. What about the Sabals? Best to try and get them established in the ground to encourage growth?

@essexhognose1808 I have a lot of sabals and they are slow in our climate. I have 4 planted in the ground. Most of mine are in pot's in the greenhouse. Trying to get a bit more size on them before planting them out. They are hardy but need heat in the summer to get them growing well. 👍
