Making Summer Work for All

I grew up Autistic and my idea of vacation was a whirl of activities, stuff to do, going to museums. I exhausted my mother and sister into nervous wrecks. When I got older I enlisted into the US Navy and spent nearly 4 years stationed over in Naples, Italy and visited the museums, Herculaneum, Amphtheatre and Pompeii numerous times as well as trips all over Europe. It was basically 4 years of stuff I wanted to do and see. I was given lots of leave and liberty because I tended to exhaust my supervisors because when I have nothing to do I was annoying to them. Now I prefer to vacation on my own because I want to do my own thing. By estimate I have spent 7 days exploring Pompeii. I'd say that must be a world record for someone who is not a tour guide.
