Hi Uncle Bob, Thank you for your comments. I hope you give my techniques a try when you make your SuperTrees. The soldering iron trick to help straighten them really helps give you more usable trees. -Tom

Thanks Tom for the solder iron trick.

Hi Campbell, Thanks for your comments. Yes, the soldering iron trick to straighten the SuperTrees works pretty well. It is a lot easier than dipping them in a matte medium and hanging them upside down to dry with a weight on them to straighten them out. Good luck on your next SuperTree project.

Curious for fall time trees would you still do the green blend first and then the yellow and red super leaves or would you choose a different color blend base first

I have a SuperTrees kit and I've been reluctant to attempt making them. They seem a little less terrifying now, thanks!

Hi Tim, I am glad to hear my video helped to inspire you to make your SuperTrees, that is exactly why I made it. Sorting out the armatures, picking out the little leaves, and then straightening the curved trees is the most time consuming part, but it goes quickly once you get the hang of it. If you have any questions as you make your Supertrees you can contact me through my website at www.ThomasKlimoski.com. Thanks for your comments and watching the video.-Tom

Soldering iron idea looks good. Just this morning took delivery of scenic materials including that natural plant. Outside America this plant is sold under a different name. Often called "Sea foam" for some odd reason.

Hi, Thanks for your comments. As I mention in the video, using a soldering iron helps to straighten some of the trees and gets you a few more usable trees that would otherwise be used for underbrush. Good luck on your tree project.-Tom

Hi Mike, Thanks for your comments. I had gotten a few questions recently on using the soldering iron technique for straightening the SuperTrees so I figured I would do a video on how I make them. Hopefully the video will inspire those considering making SuperTrees for their layout that it really is not that difficult. I do think they make the best looking trees on the market.-Tom

Hi Gregg, Yes I do need to make another video soon. I have been busy working on other model railroad projects so my time to do videos has been limited. I usually post a monthly blog on my website at www.Thomas Klimoski.com where I give more frequent updates on projects I am working on. Hopefully I can post a new video by the end of the year. Thanks for checking in. -Tom

Tom listened to you today on AML podcast, have you stopped doing videos?
@ThomasKlimoski3 жыл бұрын
Hi Paul, I appreciate you listening to the AML podcast. I am still doing videos, but I have been busy with other projects so I have not made one in awhile. I normally post just 4 or 5 videos a year and try to post when I do something new on the layout. I have a blog on my website www.thomasklimoski.com where I post more frequently. Hopefully in the next month or so I'll have a new video to post. Thanks.-Tom
