How long is the mixture sit in the fridge before it goes bad?

I would say that it depends on your choice of starting liquid and how long that would last in a fridge. Fruit and veg juices have sugar that would grow bacteria fast, plus rehydration of algae also creates a petrie dish of sort. When i soak seaweed and puree it into gel. It lasts a couple weeks covered in fridge (soaked in distilled water and gelled), but id safely say 5-7 days covered but try to use within 72 hours. Hope it helps

I kept the alginate mixture in the fridge for around 48 hours and it seemed a thicker than the one in the video. It had more like a slime-y texture and it wasn't bubble free as well. In fact, it was FILLED with tiny bubbles. I poured it in the mould and so far it isn't drying. I don't know if it will be okay when it dries eventually or not; can you help, please?@@skrilla.scratch
