I swear they made this version of Ableton for Techno. Great vid. ♥ Just got my Beta and Meld continues to surprise me.

Thanks for the excellent video, Yan! I see you use the frequency shifter quite often, and it sounds great. How do you approach finding the right amount of shift? In this video, it’s -40.0Hz, but wouldn’t that throw it out of key, especially with Dry/Wet set to 100%? Or does it function more as an atonal sound, so tuning doesn’t matter? I’m trying to incorporate this technique into my production, but it usually goes out of tune unless it’s on drums, etc. Do you use a tuner or something similar to find the right amount of shift to fit the key you're working on before creating videos? It seems like you always just put a specific number on 'Fine' and it sounds great immediately!

Lovely makethroug, one question: The tracks, how did you create the High track and when you turned it on it automatically created that sound? Thanks!

Finally got my official version of 12, but when I used the exact same pattern as you and used meld, dropped it down 3 octaves it wasn't actually dropping the sound down. Have you come across this in the official version? I didn't have this issue in the beta. I actually have to drop the midi down to the C1 position, as meld is not doing it. :(

That's weird, I'm sure it'll be fixed in the next update, I don't have this problem though.

@@YanCook Thanks.. yeah it is really strange. Still was able to dive into Meld though because of your video, it is so good for techno :)
