Ok I just wanna say this. Micarah is an amazing woman. At first glance, her style and personality are chaotic, fun and kinda loopy. I love how she makes her videos fast-paced and exciting with her impulsivity. But you can also see how hard working she is, how driven and creative she is to push these SUPERB projects thru and invent the whole process FROM SCRATCH (and Gordon Ramsey videos but ya know). As someone who's also rather crazy and spontaneous, I genuinely get a lot of motivation from watching this woman turn ordinary cloth and stuff into corgeous outfits just because it's her passion. Dear Micarah, please take care of yourself. I have been in that "so much bad stuff is happening in my life" for about...three years now and self care is critical. I don't usually comment on videos, but I just wanted to let you know how much you've inspired me, even though you'll probably never see this. Your channel is the only one I watch religiously and the only one that gets me excited when a new video comes out. Whenever I don't feel like working on a project, or when I've had a rough day and need a laugh, I come here. I've never taken a sewing class in my life, but using techniques and tips I picked up on your channel, and inspiration, I've been able to take on projects I never would have done before. Even when I mess something up, I keep going because when I see you mess something up, you keep going and the final result is always amazing. I hope you know that you've really made a difference in my life and have helped me develop a whole new hobby. I've been a huge fan of yours for years now, and I've seen your channel grow so crazily and it makes me so happy for you. I once had to handsew an 18th century ladies impression with time accurate materials and undergarments for an assignment and it definitely wasn't fun and honestly made me hate sewing there for awhile. But your videos and attitude and just pure creativity made me want to sew again, thank you so much for all you do! I did some sewing today! I recommend starting with something small if you don't have any experience - even making a basic pillow can make you feel awesome! I believe in you!

The first thing I've ever sewn was a little pouch thingy for my sister! I remember it being so easy to make even back then. It's a good idea to start with simple shapes, and also practice sewing in a straight line on scrap pieces of fabric :D
