Head-cannon/possible lore for inchy: So canonically inchlings are a smaller human variant, which means inchy is of human decent, not fairy. But, throughout the episodes he’s been in, he’s shown that he often feels inferior thanks to his small stature. Perhaps he is trying to mask his insecurities with a facade persona of someone who acts tough as a way to help him cope, and pretending to be a fairy is a part of it. I’ve seen a lot of people bring up their concerns about inchy calling himself a fairy, saying it’ll be confusing since there already is a fairy origin, but I believe inchy’s pretending will probably be distinctly different from an actual fairy, so theoretically it should not pose a problem. Edit: I also forgot to mention the prince part of his persona, this could also be a way for him to make himself feel more powerful and important, because in his mind a prince is strong and brave.
