I made a replica of the Batsuit from 'The Dark Knight'! Hope you enjoy this tutorial on how I made this dream cosplay/costume of mine.
Template link below was sized specifically for me (a 6ft male), so you may need to scale it appropriately to fit you! There were some small detail pieces that are not included, but this should cover all the main armor panels.

Yeah, arguably the best reasonably priced DIY suit for sure. Ive seen a really good Arkham Knight suit on YT but a lot of that was mostly urethene casted parts and looked expensive as hell lol

@@PropWay I just did the same suit and must have painted it 4 different gray/silver colors and none looked right. I ended up using a gunmetal gray carbon fiber vinyl wrap, it looks sweet over the abs but I still feel mine is too gray. I think most people who don't pay attention think it's an all black costume which it's not, it's hard to see the gray/silver colors on screen in the movies.

That’s probably my favorite suit too. I can’t do this but honestly it does look weird upfront. In the background it looks stunning. I guess to me, upfront it looks like a 2D suit that’s supposed to be 3D. I think it’s the chest, it just looks too flat. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Dude I've always had a passion for doing this stuff too, and I'm never satisfied unless it's perfect. That said my friend this is bad-ass. In many respects I think it might even look better than the actual movie suit, not saying anything bad about it, but it could use a little tweaking here and there. I can only think of 1or 2, no more than 3 things that'd help perfect it...though it pretty much already is. I'm jealous home's lol, great job. If I ever get a 3D- printer I'll post some of my work, hell I'll post some anyway. Don't let it get to your head and wind up on the news as a corpse in the river trying to fight crime lol. That's my dark sense of humor, but thanks brother you've inspired me.

I always wonder if It was easier to wear a foam armor suit if the foam was attached to the clothing rather than wearing a separate armor set. I made a Red Hood cosplay and because it was my very first I did notice some growing pains with it. First is having to bend or sit down. If not done right the foam will bunch up and be very uncomfortable. Also when doing cosplay you gotta take into account using the restroom and if the weather is very hot, it can be exhausting. Any tips on all these things???

The suit probably cost less than $100 for the black undersuit, mesh fabric, and foam! The expensive part was the mask which I purchased from Gauntlet FX.
