Making the FMS Smasher RC Monster Truck Look Like Bigfoot with a Few Easy Mods

The 1/24 Scale FMS Smasher has been a popular model for RC enthusiasts, and with a few simple modifications, I was able to transform this truck into a nice looking Bigfoot 1 replica. With the original Bigfoot monster truck being a clear inspiration for the FMS Smasher, it doesn't take much to complete the look using some decals and paint.

Yeah, turned out awesome, I’ve cut the back window out of my smashers. Looks 100% better since the glass is there. Went to get a couple of those three carburetors for mine but I only use PayPal so I guess I don’t get none. Appreciate the video really looking awesome.👍👍😎

Thank you! Yeah I didn't want to go as far as to cut out the rear window but I've seen it done and it looks a lot better. 👍 Wish they would have done it from the factory but still not a bad looking rig regardless.

When ordering the decals on eBay, the recommended size is 1/32, NOT 1/24. The side trim turned out great, just not sure on what paint to use without an airbrush. It would be nice to paint the wheels white as well.

Thank you. Must be easier/cheaper to manufacture that way. I think they did the same with the FCX24 Blazer. You can cut the rear window out as there is "glass" behind it, however you'd probably want to re-paint the body after as the edge will be bare plastic.

I wish they would’ve done usa-1 as a Chevy like it’s supposed to be and not a white Bigfoot

Yes! The USA-1 decals look great, but look strange on a Ford body. I'm sure an older Chevy body could easily be 3D printed, and custom mounted. I'd love to see FMS release some different body options though, seeing how the Smasher has been such a big hit. Maybe a square body or 50's panel van. 😉
