I am very impressed with the camera work in this video! Also the finished product still looks cool AF, even if it's not quite up to where you imagined!

Thank you so much!! Yeah, it works well enough as a background element but making the video as a whole was definitely fun!

Your videos are so thoughtfully made! I love shots like 3:59 and 5:13 which took some set up and are either funny or very effectively encapsulate an idea in the story. When I watch these I get the sense that you went to film school and that you use everything you learned expertly in your videos. They're all so fun to watch, and often informative, too!

This is a very good video, once again you have blown me away with an idea I would never have thought of. I watched the Glass Onion but didn’t pay much attention to this item. (But I thought that the movie was pretty good)

Amazing infinity mirror. Sam, just found your channel today, and honestly, the only problem your videos have in common is that there isn't enough of them!

I made a mini infinity mirror cube from glass, and i superglued a small led cube inside of it and than soldered it close before the glue was even hard. I made sure all my glass was very clean, but the super glue began tarnishing all the inside surfaces. It looked very cool, but had to open it up and tried cleaning the glass, but it was fubar. Never doing that again. I now use UV-resin, doesn’t stain or tarnish anything and as long as you can get light on the resin you can cure it in 2 minutes with a uv-lamp. Making things is learning things ;)
@sam-beige11 ай бұрын
That’s awesome! Still sounds like an interesting result despite the unpredictable reaction! Yeah I haven’t used UV resin, but watched a lot of DIY projects where it’s used and might have to try it out sometime.

Really cool project! Also a testament to how most projects end up quickly going over budget and past deadlines. 😂

So true haha! After I was done I was looking up infinity mirrors for sale, and realized there are a lot of custom ones for hundreds to thousands of dollars, so that should have given me a clue if I had researched it earlier lol

Where did you buy your mirrors from? And did you have to apply reflective tint film to them or did they already come as one/two way mirrors?
@sam-beige5 ай бұрын
I can’t say for sure, but I think I got it from Home Depot (it’s actually acrylic and I think it’s sold at a lot of different places like that). Also I didn’t have to add any other film to it :)

I thought if a handheld version of this, then found some online. I'm bot sure if the original artist who built giant inatallations with this concept was credited though. Good work anyway

Maybe 3d printing the edges first would help? It seems the biggest challenge is to hold the shape in place.

Ngl seeing how much work it took kinda discourages me from making one myself…. but when I watched glass onion the first time I paused the movie and literally looked up to see it I could buy a scaled down 20 sided one.

4:29 is it pre-recorded and you’re lip-syncing or do you just have a really good mic
@sam-beige Жыл бұрын
Haha well I tried some different filming techniques for this video, and one of the downsides was that the audio was really inconsistent. So I ended up doing voiceover for pretty much everything. Not ideal 😂
