I made this over the weekend (with sausage and no cheese) and learned some things not mentioned in the video: -Make sure not to let the syrup cool too long on the baking sheet as it will just become hard candy & not possible to roll into balls. As hard candy it will still work, but it ends up like shards of glass before you add them to the pancakes and they melt. I found roughly 8g was enough for one cake. -The pancake batter (for me) came out much more liquidy than his. It still worked perfectly fine, but it is good to know if you have the same happen to you.

just so everyone knows folded egg comes vacuumed sealed already cooked,, don't order that . the scrambled egg with the big breakfast is liquid egg. the only true egg is the round egg found on the mcmuffins which is cracked on steamed/cooked on the grilled. so whenever you order anything breakfast make sure to say "substitute X egg with rounded egg"

I made your recipe today. It was not a quick process but I was prepared for that. Hand rolling the syrup balls was the most time consuming part. It took a bit of effort to get the timing just right on the flip. The rings came off easy when they were ready but my most successful was when I filled it just a teeny bit more and I flipped it and let it set on the other side for a few moments before removing the ring. The flavour is great but I wish I'd had some breakfast sausage patties as well. It was a fun activity.

Save yourself some time and stress. Order Maple Sugar Chunks. NOT maple sugar. That’s the secret! Put it directly into the batter. It won’t dissolve but it will melt a little into the pancakes while cooking. I used Stony Acres Maple Chunks from Amazon. I used about a tablespoon to my batter (made 6 small pancakes). Thank me later. Also you can add a little maple syrup to the batter too!!

I have to say I made this. It came out pretty good. It was far more flavorful than the mcdonald's version. I definitely will continue making this. The only thing that was cumbersome was making the Maple syrup balls that would be my only complaint, but other than that, it was very good.
