Shem, 3 years ago, you single-handedly got me into the board game hobby with Architechs and Paladins. As of today i own roughly 150 modern board games, 10 of which are yours. Thank you my friend. You are easily my favorite board game designer, and most influential person in my board gaming life. I cannot express what your games truly mean to me.

Raiders of the North Sea will always hold a very special place in my heart. I loved playing board games when I was just a wee boy, but then drifted away from it, the older I got, due to not getting enough folks together for the games that I was really interested in. Fast forward to when Raiders hit retail after its phenomenal Kickstarter campaign and it was just the perfect gateway game for me to get back into the hobby again. Haven't lost track of it since, Raiders still gets to the table regularly, and I'm not planning of losing sight of this dear hobby of mine ever again. Thanks Shem!

Shem is a legend. Quite a few years ago, I think I was 16, he tried out a couple of my games and gave me really good feedback! I'll always remember how nice he was. :))

Okay, first of all, that "Variant" shirt is classic! The box covers of both Raiders and Architects immediately made me want those games. If all your company ever did was introduce The Mico to the board game world, that would be a legacy right there. But of course there's also the amazing designs, great customer service, and all the rest.

As long as you keep making games, I will keep buying them! Every time you bring out a new game in this series, I completely fall in love with the game.

Just started playing boardgames a couple of years ago. Raiders was my first big love in the hobby ❤ It gave me that kind of "age of empires" feeling that impressed me and I was just amazed what boardgames can bring to the table nowadays :)

Of my top 10 favourite games of all time, 4 are Garphill. I love this peek behind the curtain. Please keep making these interesting videos, but more importantly, please keep making top-notch games. I just got Legacy of Yu, and can't wait to try it out!

Thanks Shem for the insightful video. Hearing about your interaction with The Mico was fun to listen to. I am so excited for the Shipwrights redux and the next installment of the Inventors of the South Tigris not to mention where you might go for the East trilogy series! Sams expansion for Circadian's is a waiting game also. Love everything you have done. Thanks for sharing and thanks for keeping me looking at my mailbox for the next game to arrive. Great work, and great company and it shows your dedication.

Raiders is what really dragged me both into Garphill Games and further into the hobby as a whole. I have a lot of games I love and appreciate, but Garphill games continue to compete at the top. Thanks to both you and Sam for making such great games and experiences! Can't wait to see what you guys will continue to design

I loved hearing this story of how you got started. It’s amazing to see what you’ve built. My top 5 games out of my 150+ game collection are all Garphill Games right now. I’m sure once I play all of your games, they’ll probably take over my top 10. Garphill Games is my happy gaming place 😁 thank you for making so many awesome games!

I'm always down for a Viking themed game, I must say the Art was a big factor that attracted me to the game, that being said, I love worker placement, but at the time my experience was with Lords of Waterdeep, Stone Age, Five Tribes and other games that use multiple Workers, it was the first time that I had to think, not just what was I gonna do with the worker I have in my hand but also what I'm leaving for the next player to use, so much strategy, so many characters, and the Expansions are awesome, RotNS is one of my all time favorites. Thanks so much for so many games, and let's hope much more to come.

The North Sea trilogy is great to play for veteran players but it's also easy enough to introduce new players to boardgames. I have backed a lot of games on KS but this three games are some of the ones I'm more happy I backed. The play is great, the art is fantastic and the designer looks like a real viking. 😁
