The baker should be between port and forest. You have to go up the ladder to that upper section of the castle

Do you loose your stuff when bringing the ingredients for the cake to the baker? and do you need to bring the cake to the king for the quest to be counted? nice vid btw

The only items that don't stay in your inventory when you die is sugar and milk. You also need the cake in your inventory to when you go to the king. Hope that helps.
