John Pinette is one of my favorite comedians of all time. His I' m Starvin" show performed at The Montreal Comedy Festival was fantastic! His best IMO. Over the years since it's release, I've watch it over and over again and it never ceases to make my family, my friends and me laugh!

John Pinette is one of my favorite comics ever. Him and Jim Gaffigan. For more John, the whole Free Willy stuff is great. But the story about him filming over in France is super, super funny.

He played a small college by us years back. Got to meet him on the way in. He was hanging out with some of the stage people back behind the venue. He waved us over when we said hi. Very cool guy!!

You’ve gotta listen to “I Say Nay Nay”. Also, his skiing story is an absolute hoot. I absolutely lost it watching that one and had to go back to hear what I had missed while I was laughing. Just to help, his last name is pronounced “PIN-Net”.

It's sad that he died aged only 50-years old but I remember reading somewhere that he battled with his weight for most of his life and pulmonary embolism is a known risk factor for obese people so I guess it comes with the territory almost.

It's not pronounced "John Pin-yet." It's "John Pin-ette." It would need to be Spanish and have the squiggly tilde over the N to get the "ny" sound. The name looks very French to me.
