I believe slush casting works better with plaster molds and ceramic slurry as the plaster SLOWLY pulls the moisture out of the slurry resulting in a longer open (working) time and more uniform shell. Since resin can be unpredictable and set up rather quickly, you risk uneven thicknesses in your casting, and adjusting resin ratios to slow the set-up time risks the resin not setting up at all. In the future if you insist on using resin, get a formulation that has a long open time and be prepared to rotate the mold for that entire time (plus a little more). Can't believe you did a legit ventilated wig! Holy moly! Nice work!

This is awesome! A tip to save on goo in the future is to do a skin of silicone and then a supportive shell around it, out of something like plaster bandages or epoxy. also, I'm unsure if it is cheaper, but smoothcast does offer some casting plastic that works great for slush casting

@@Jedimanda if you try it out sometime hopefully it helps! The shell would obvs have to be in two pieces so you can get everything apart. Lots of great tutorials about two piece moulds floating around tho!
