The dialogue for every character in this show is amazing, especially when you consider that some of it is improv.

It's not scripted. The shows creators original movie, what we do in the shadows was the storyline following a group of vampires around so each actor made up the dialog as they filmed. In one interview, a 30 second clip turned into a 30 minute run just off the actors and actresses continued to go back and forth with one liners.
