Omg Hodooo I heard this story the other day and it was amazing! But the most important part of Ahmed’s story!! when the sheikh comes running to tell Ahmed the Ayah, Ahmed tried so many times to recite it in prayer but would always freeze and burst into tears. No matter how many times he tried he would always always cry and never be able to complete the ayah, and then the day his younger brother came looking for him he went running to his dad to tell him Ahmed was not responding! His dad ran to Ahmed, rested his head on his shoulder, he was barely breathing and was trying to say some words, as his dad brings himself closer he says “send my salams to the sheikh, send my salams to the sheikh” and shortly followed by the most clear and beautiful recitation of that one ayah that he could never complete without bursting into tears. Then after the janazah Ahmed’s dad asked the sheikh what happened in that trip, the sheikh said he promised not to say anything but he lost a friend for a little while (his Imaan).
