Haaaappy Thursday Cousins!!!
You already know what time it issss, another week, another episode of the CCP!
It’s officially episode 2 of the Ramadan Series! We hope you are all having a blessed month so far, whether you are spending with family, friends, or alone, may Allah grant you all a wonderful and reward filled month 🤍
This week, we spoke about everything from Sara going out with the girls to create their own perfume to pondering how Ramadan might change in the next few years.
While we’re in the month of Ramadan, don’t forget to make du’ah for all the Muslims who are experiencing hardship around the world and ask Allah to free Palestine from the shackles of isnotreal.
Make du’ah for yourselves and ask for all that you have desired, we ask Allah to accept your fasts, prayers and du’ahs.
If you'd like your comment to potentially be shouted out in future episodes, don't forget to comment on our KZbin video 😊
As always, thank you so much for all of your support! Make sure to subscribe/follow us to make sure you don't miss another episode!

I love Ramadan and fasting but my only problem is school. I wish I could worship Allah in peace without the stress of school or work.

Summer Ramadan really raised a whole generation it’s so odd to think that it’ll be in peak summer time hours again 23 years from now - although as a gen z what’s nice to think about is that my kids will get to experience summertime Ramadan in childhood as well and also have all the good memories🫶🏽🫶🏽 (ALSO ty for reading my comment ayeee 😁😁)

yea I’m 04 and looking at my younger siblings id say the last year group to be raised by Nickelodeon and Disney channel is 09-10, my sister born in 2015 has never watched cable tv 🧍her and her friends don’t talk about tv at all and basically have no shared media to bond over it’s very strange

Asalamo aleykom! I just needed to answer Amirs question real quick before I continue the video so I don’t forget!😂 So about the breaking our fast at work part and how it is going to be! I would say DO NOT STRESS hehe. I live in Norway and a couple of years back we broke our fast around 11pm hehe. These last years it has been around 8-10pm so inevitably we students and other late night workers broke our fast at work. I can’t talk about everyone but alhamdulillah I work at the big corporation IKEA and they let us get together all the muslims in the cafeteria and even lay out something to break our fast with like cookies, fruit, cinnamon rolls etc when usually we have to pay for all of that. And they send out ramadan mubarak to the company and ask them to remember that their muslim colleagues are fasting and to be lenient with us. Even though it’s difficult it is actually beneficial I have noticed. The days we broke our fast with the other coworkers it was very special I got to know new people I didn’t even know were muslims and had been working with them for years😅 granted different departments. But still! And this egyptian uncle that goes around serving everyone dates and another somali brother letting us try somali samosas. Our bond got so strong during those nights alhamdulillah. The days we broke our fast on the commute were also special. Yes we didn’t get to socialize with family and good food but alhamdulillah just the dates and the lunchbox on the bus made me so grateful for everything. I had time to make serious dua whereas at home I’m busy preparing the table or cooking with mom. I’m looking at all the desserts and surrounded by noise and everything. So alhamdulillah for both opportunities! One last thing, in Iraq they visit each other after iftar and have time to do taraweeh(specifying the women because men already do that) and other things at night because they break their fast before us so we have always been waiting for shorter days so we actually can do more; socialize, iftar at the mosque etc, without worrying about it being so late! So yeah as long as we plan good in ramadan allah will fill it with barakah inshaallah whether it’s 4pm or 11pm haha.

Wa alaykumus salaam wa raHmatullahi wa barakatu 🫶🏾 What a beautiful experience you were able to have! Even though you were fasting really long hours, you still found the beauty in it, ma sha Allah! May Allah make it easy for you all on that side of the world! Thank you so much for sharing!! May Allah make the last 10 days the best 10 and accept your prayers and du’ah! ❤️

Loved the podcast as usual Barakallahufeekum. I did wanna mention, I think as general Muslims in the West, we've really glorified what living in a Khaleeji country is like. My mom was born and raised in Qatar and now lives in Texas. And a bunch of my Texan friends now live in the UAE. And I have some Qatari friends who are now settled in Texas. And although Muslim majority countries def have the convenience factor bc everything adjusts to Ramadan, my mom and my friends have mentioned how different the spirituality aspect is, especially if you dont speak Arabic. The lectures, qiyaams, suhoor events, the intentional community with masjid iftaars all really give a different experience. Ameer mentioned winter fasts may feel different bc they're not as hard and we might not reap the spiritual benefit. I feel kinda the same with living in a western country while fasting. No, its not built for us, and yes I'm fighting for my life every day, trying not to get fired bc of all the naps, but Alhamdulillah there's so so much reward in that extra struggle. Also we want to be able to take habits and lessons from Ramadan and apply it throughout the year. If you just go to a different country where everything's catered to your needs, and then come back to the US after Ramadan, personally I feel like I'd struggle more with figuring out how I can fit my Ramadan habits into my regular life. Ofc pros & cons to each, but just some thoughts after so many ppl in my life have experienced both.

Make sure that you are not accidentally watching food videos to feel satiated. I used to watch hours of videos until I realized that it was helping me deal with my hunger.

Haha another comment to Sara: my lil sis is taking her vacation now so she can focus more in Ramadan, it’s only a couple of days tho she has. I would maybe suggest that if you only have a few days, take it in the last 10 nights so you can maximize everything.

Aselamualeykum…. Wellah there has to be Remedan energy because I normally go to the gym around 4:30am and I have my 3dates and tea as pre workout and suhur and that’s when I hit my PRs and satisfying workouts. You are right it’s the berekah wellah
