Awesome work, bro! 😊 Think about a fume extractor with 2 cpu coolers and a carbon filter (the ones used for aquariums) in the middle. I made one myself a few time and works wonderfully. 😊

(谷歌翻译) Original Text: Thanks for the clever ideas. I haven't seen anyone use heat shrink tubing on alligator/crocodile clips like this. I haven't thought about using these little camera tripods like this either, even though I have one of the same type already. So here are a few ideas for you or anyone else here. I recently tried to find ways to make these alligator clips last longer without getting bent out of shape. If you drill out the rivit in the middle, you will be able to separate the two halves of a new clip. Then if you use your soldering iron you can add tin to the inside of both halves of the clip. This modification makes the clip much more resistant to bending and twisting. Then I use a small piece of metal tubing that I cut to the width of the inside of the clip. I solder it to the inside of the clip. Then I use a small nail to replace the rivit. I cut the nail on each side and then I solder it to the outside of the clip. It is possible to do all of this and still use the original spring, but I like to replace it with a regular coil type spring in the back of the clip. I solder that spring in place on one side of the clip. All of these modifications make a clip that will last a long time. I also created my own fume extractor but I used a much larger fan from an old rack mounted Fluke lab power supply. I used the metal box and air filter frame from that power supply as well. I took the original filter apart and used the frame and wire screen to make my own filter. Here in the USA we have large home improvement type retail stores. In the section of the store that has pet supplies some stores sell a activated carbon air filter that is made to fit over the air filter built into the heating and air conditioning system on someone's house. These filters are cheap. I cut them up and make my own filter that is several layers thick. This helps to get the bad stuff out of the air instead of filling up the room. I don't know where you could get the same filter in Asia but it says Made in China on the package so I imagine it is available somewhere. I haven't created any content about these things, they are just ideas I found useful. -Jake BTW in English "Balsa" is the super light weight wood used to make model airplanes. The wood that you used here is usually called "Plywood." It's not a big deal. I would just want to know something like this if I were making content in another language. If you understand my English well enough why does soldering always get translated as welding in Chinese to English? In English, soldering is joining of 2 metals using tin or lead. The word "soldering" is only used in reference to electronics. If someone is attaching two pieces of metal like how an old steel Bicycle frame is made, using tin or lead to make a steel frame, we call this "brazing." When someone uses an arc welder to melt two pieces of metal together we call this "welding." These terms are not interchangeable. Soldering, welding, and brazing all refer to specific types of work. I'm a clueless idiot when it comes to foreign languages but if I can figure out how to say something in English to get a better translation I will use it. I simply don't know how someone from Asia thinks about Welding versus soldering or brazing. I think there is a culture gap that I wish I understood better ;)

@UpcycleElectronics6 жыл бұрын
(谷歌翻译) Original Text: I've never thought about trying to isolate clips like this. After seeing that idea, I realized I can make other things with these kinds of clips. I can create Kelvin clips easily. I could also use a file to remove the teeth and attach a thin piece of rubber or plastic in order to isolate a clip for clamping. This would be a more permanent solution than heat shrink tubing. I find that simple ideas like this are often the most useful when we want to create cheap and convenient solutions to problems we haven't thought to solve.

Add a filter to the fan. An additional arm with an LED light and it's perfect.

@Jason Park I have been thinking about making this and why should you have a filter to the fan? I’m new to soldering so just a newbie question
