‘If Alan M can do it’, I’ve actually said that to myself when working on my VF resto, especially given the size of the workshop he has all his gear in.

Guys a true inspiration. Probably the most accurate with a hacksaw I’ve seen.

Hey I was just sitting here just bored out of my mind so I just started looking back over some of these home shop videos, something I enjoy very much since that's the same kind of stuff I do now that I retired, I just noticed you said a couple of times that if you can't get this swing arm all figured out you and the owner said you could just go back to stock, it looks like to me that you are on the right track, but anyway to get to the point i was out farting around in my shop today and ran across a couple of KZ 900 -1000 arms if you need one just get a hold of me. Thanks for sharing your videos I enjoy them.

Perhaps u should have removed the torque arm bracket off the frame and attached an Ali one to the swingarm as per many a motorcycle 😎

Not sure I understand. The torque arm bracket isn't an issue on either the swing arm or the frame. It's the rear brake lever casting part that is.

The patch work seems like it will work to me, and I believe it should put the strength back in to it. As far as the side ways movement, can't you get it lined up sprocket to sprocket and machine spacers for each side?

Yes. It’s close enough to do exactly that. Thanks.

@@MotoRestoFL hey if that was something that didn't cross your mind, you are welcome I use to do the same kind of work in my garage. Mainly to get that drag bike look, I highly enjoyed doing that kind of work myself. So keep up the good work and I will be watching your videos. Thanks for sharing.

@@tfjack97 actually I did mention machining spacers or bushings to thrust adjust the rear wheel but no worries. Thanks for watching and commenting.
