i actually had the pleasure of meeting ML7 the other day in person. i was behind him in line at a local grocery store and as the clerk was ringing up the last of his items he got a wild look in his eye and proceeded to yell for everyone to get down. knowing my streamer i immediately listened and as soon as i hit the ground genji burst through the front window and ML7 hit him with a sleep dart he had tucked in his back pocket. as soon as the threat was neutralized everyone stood up and cheered for our favorite streamer. thank goodness someone with such impeccable gamesense was there to stop such an attack.

6v6 doesn’t have the down time 5v5 does. Between fights, and during fights. So yeah it’s more fun. But 2016 has some terrible characters attributes, thought what is there works better.

Even though this is absolute chaos, especially with no role lock, I do think there is something to be said with having either more impactful ultimate's or having them more frequently since they add to the chaos that create the memorable moments. Not sure if that is worth testing in a separate mode. It is quite astonishing that things actually die. There is no inflated health pools and cleanse / immortality to bail you out.

Old Lucio can't ride the same wall twice in a row, but some walls have different sections that count as a different wall and you have no way of knowing which wall has them. It was truly a different time back then. Lol

My first time playing 6v6. I absolutely had a blast even when I lost. My only problem is the speed of it feels slow motion compared to ow2. If they step the speed of it up. I'll play it.

Ironically a lot of people hated how much faster OW2 was than OW1. OW1 was already chaotic. 2 is legitimately stressful at times.

I love ow2 because of the pace plus I didn’t like being a support healbot. I like the different utility that the new supports offer and I hate having to stick with the team so much. Also I like playing widow now because she actually takes skill. Back then she was just ridiculous. Doesn’t feel fun to be able to one tap with a body shot.

The speed is the reason why kills/damage matters more than heals for support in OW2. In OW2 you can you just ignore healing and go for kills. The old matchup vs hog meant, you could sleep him out of whole hog or take a breather. Man I forgot the pain that was 2CP. xD

You guys will never believe what happened to me the other day. I work at a grocery store just around the corner from my apartment, and ML7 happened to be shopping at our store. I was just about to ring up the last of his items when he suddenly yelled for everyone to get on the floor. I, trusting my favorite streamer, obeyed and laid flat on my back. The front window shattered right as I hit the ground, and Genji flew through the window, screaming "Ryūjin no ken wo kūrae!" Out of pure instinct, my glorious king ML7 whipped out a sleep dart and nailed the Genji straight in the chest. With the Genji sleeping like a baby, everyone cheered for our majestic ML7. To show my appreciation to our knight in bearded armor, I made his groceries free of charge. I'm so glad that he was there to save the day.

In the inevitable next Cas rework they should let him kick his silly boots to make a dust cloud that can provide cover and speed him up while inside it or something. Very cowboy coded and imagine fighting a tracer and you basically drop a smoke bomb, she has to decide to fight you blind or retreat

never played 2016 OG overwatch before (only later OW1), so there wasn't as much nostalgia for me. personally, didn't enjoy it. the pace is too slow and support role only has 4 heroes and is boring af. most of my games, everyone just picks dps, no tanks or supp

I played it back then and I hated it then and i hate it now. Back when I first tried it I played for a few years then I swapped to paladins because it was much faster and more fun. Then when ow2 came out I came out and I loved it so much since the start. I was baffled at people’s reactions and perception of the game. Everything they do they hate. And I don’t get it because I love the game so much. Especially when it first came out ow2 was amazing. Then they broke the tanks and it became a little unbearable but now they’re pretty toned down and the game is so fun. I can’t believe people hate the current game and like this mess. And after this came goats… no part of ow1 was fun.

The biggest thing 1.0 is showing is that overwatch really cooked with all the Reworks to abilities for everyone (except mei and symmetra, they should just bring back the classic versions and adjust numbers a bit)

Literally CC kept the most annoying heroes in check. Now that tanks have CC reduction, all of the old CC is much more tolerable. If we had the old CC back but the new CC reduction for tanks, I think it would be more fun. There’s situations now where you legit feel unable to do anything against certain hypermobile comps.

Overwatch 2 is trash. Overwatch was better, even when it was awful. Abandoning Overwatch and shutting down all Overwatch play to do 2 was a horrible mistake.

The game back then was peak. It being unbalanced was what made it fun. There is a reason over watch 1 had more players then 2. Also no limits was not a core part of the classic game, that got removed within the first month of release, this is taking it back to beta levels of overwatch so obviously it's going to be unbalanced. It's not supposed to be balanced and you shouldn't judge it based on this one mode. This is only one very small meta of over watch 1 and that game that had several years of changes. It's not even a representation of over watch 1 proper it's supposed to mimick beta versions of over watch which was made almost 9 years ago. No other game was like it back then. Players have just gotten at the game and have 8 years of expierence and gamong culture is more try hard then ever and laser focused on being meta that people forget that orginal overwatch was just about picking your favourite hero and having fun. Nobody has bs mobility or abilites that make you cc or damage immue. You don't have tanks with 1000 hp. Anyone can kill anyone, your abilites matter more then your stats or role and you get ultamites super quick, it's fun. You're looking into too much the devs have stated this is purely for fun. If you dont like it then dont play it but dont think this an accurate representation of what over watch 1 was like. Trust me, I played the beta and early overwatch since release. No one complained about these things, only modern players are.
