Mattress looks great, what dimensions was it prior to cutting it? You were very courageous doing zips! Well done. Just a little hint for next time you sew covers if you turn the cover inside out & sew a triangle on the corner you’ll get a nice clean corner.

The original mattress I cut was a double, so 138cm x 188cm originally👌🏼 thanks for the support with the sewing😂 Will definitely try to clean those corners up next time

Hey Mate, love your build, great work! You may have already mentioned this but if you had to estimate what do you reckon your fit out cost you?.

Hey mate, I haven't done a cost analysis yet unfortunately. I know it's somewhere in the ballpark of 15-20k for everything including the van. I've nearly finished the build and when I have I'll go back and check receipts and see how much I've spent. As of right now my main concern is making the best build I possibly can, so I research each section before I do it and spend what I feel is appropriate. Cost analysis is coming though✌🏼

What kind of mattress did you use? High, medium density? How many millimeters thickness ?

Hey mate, sorry for the late response, been a crazy month. I bought a high density mattress at 70mm thick I believe. I wanted something a little thicker, however going any higher would impact my ability to be comfortable sitting on the bed when it was in couch mode. I would personally recommend going as thick you can without sacrificing on functionality. That said, my mattress is still really comfy and I sleep well on it🤙🏼
