He's done s great job..I would have done the floor different. I use to work for Frontline campers in Brookvale Sydney. We would fit a solid ply floor 20mm thick screwed straight to the metal floor. We would then glue down vinyl to this then cabinets went on top. 17mm ply would work just as well if budget tight. One inch of would is equivalent to 6 inches of brick in insulation terms.😊 His. Cabinets look great.

I really enjoyed watching this, it was an amazing build. The extendable bed was pure gold in my opinion

Yes, what I'm liking is the lack of heavy framework as so many do with 4x2s built like a house. This is nice, light, strong and completely functional.👍

Hey. Very cool build. Can you please tell me where did you get this foam for the bed from? I was looking for something like this in NZ but no luck. Thanks

Do you have a step by step video for the electrics? How you installed the solar panel and wired it up to the deep cycle battery ? Did I catch a snippet of you also hooking the van battery up to the deep cycle as well to charge while driving ?
@lachiemac26422 жыл бұрын
Heya Kaz, saw from another comment that you found the video, but for anyone else wondering. There is a detailed video of my 12v set-up on the channel. Just search "Lachie Mac 12v setup". Thanks✌🏼

Hi Me again did you know that if you remove the passenger seat and install another drivers seat the floor and seat holes are all the same to mount it , except you have to remove the drop down arm rest , now you can walt through to the back . Hope this helped . Pete

Did not know that, thanks for the tip. I'm planning on blocking out the front and back for this build, but will definitely keep that in mind for future van builds, thanks mate🤙🏼

Hi what insulation did you use? Great vid
@lachiemac2642 Жыл бұрын
For the insulation I used xps foam in the floor, and earth wool in the body and ceiling. I made a video called "insulation and sub floor" and "ceiling panel upgrade" if you want to see it in detail 🤙🏼

hi mate, what screw/plug did you use to get the wall ply on?
@lachiemac26422 жыл бұрын
Hey mate, I have it listed on my "custom interior wooden panels" video, but it was 16mm button head Matt black screws from Bunnings 👌🏼

Hey mate, I was keen to start a new build, had dedicated 18 months to this first one. The van was also freshly fitted out and still below 200,000 kilometres, so I figured the sooner I sell it, the more money I'll have to put into the next build. Still love the little mitsy and am stoked with the build I did with it, just wanted to keep pushing forward and start another build👌🏼
