CARLA: Yesterday, I found your vlog on spending less time watching TV. I've lost 90 pounds. The giving up eating fried foods helped me loose the last 30. The goal is buying a bike/going on a vacation.

I found it so important to use a weight journal…. I had to be accountable for my weight. This is especially important if doing your weight loss on your own. I had no one but myself and my journal to keep me accountable … every 10 lbs I circled that calendar date in bright red and it made me see that accomplishment every day!! I lost 60 lbs and it worked for me 👍🖤

This is such a unique approach to breaking down weight loss and making it feel less overwhelming. I love it! I made my own spreadsheet and did the same thing! I also printed out a goal thermometer and I color it in for each little milestone. It’s helpful to see how far you’ve come!

Breaking down the process and setting small goals is life-changing. When looking at the amount of weight I need to lose and how to accomplish it and get in shape, this really makes it doable. Thank you Carla for sharing your journey with us and inspiring us with your love. Blessings to you!

I like the idea of setting a goal but not have a time limit on it. I plan mine in 12 week blocks, aiming to lose 1 pound per week, I don’t worry too much if I fall short, but I do like to hit my non scale victories instead, like 3 sessions of yoga per week or 7k steps a day xx

Definitely agree about having little goals leading to a big goal!, I’m doing that atm. It can be very daunting and draining only having the one big goal as it takes so long to get there realistically. Having the little goals is great and makes you feel good 👍🏼

I love the idea to set goals with pounds, kilos, and stones! This will allow me to have continuous goals, but with variety. How nice to have an easier goal sometimes and a tougher goal other times. That appeals to me much more than a boring year of 5 pound goals. In American, we only use pounds so I never thought of it. Thanks for the tip, Carla!

I worked out my ideal weight and divided it by 2 (2lbs I know is a manageable number for me to lose in a week if I stay focused) then that gives me the number of weeks I can lose that weight in as long as I remain consistent. It feels a lot more manageable. I do have weeks where I stall and around about my time of the month, I go back up (FFS BODY) but as long as I am consistently going down, I am happy and determined that I will get there one day

I tracked debt payoff goals on a white board in the garage because I told my husband I wanted to retire and he said I spent more every month than I would get in retirement. That worked for me, but I have never done this for weight because I never make it. Not putting a specific date would be helpful because it is no pressure. I need to work on consistency and not feeling panicked which makes me binge. For rewards: I usually buy whatever clothes, purses, etc I want so I will make my rewards things I don't spend money on or expensive things for my house that I want that my husband doesn't think are necessary. I will work on this right now. I'm excited. Thank you so much for your channel.

Such a great idea!! I especially love tracking your weight 3 ways. The scale really messes with my head. Maybe the numbers would be less of a head game if I didn't focus just on pounds. Thanks for a fun (and very unique) suggestion!

I have binged watched your videos and you have so much great advice - thank you. In the past I have kept a spreadsheet but put a date next to each goal, then if I missed it, I would be upset. Adding the date once the goal is achieved - such great advice. Much more optimistic way to track.

My daughter just had a baby 3 weeks ago and she only gained 27;b in her first pregnancy. I was very proud of her as she is only 5 foot tall and has a tendency to put on weight. She still has a way to go in getting back her shape but I find your approach so simple and refreshing that I will send her the link to your channel . It will encourage and support her in her journey, too! Thank you! She does intermittant fasting ( I showed her how) and she eats very small portions and only one or two meals a day.

Thanks so much for all the information. Please explain your numbers. Are you subtracting lost weight from initial start weight? Just curious as I am trying to follow your formula to make my own record. Also, what did you do while waiting for the Slim program to be available?
@HalfofCarla
@HalfofCarla Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for your kind tip 🖤 I subtracted from my initial weight. The best thing to do while waiting for BodySlims is 1- read the testimonials to build belief in yourself as all the people who did it are just normal people like the rest of us 2- learn to count calories &track food 3- start walking a little, try just 15 mins 4- schedule the time you’ll need starting in self (at least 2 hours on weds to watch the seminars and 1 hour a day to walk ) x
