I bet it's because being based in russia, and with the ukraine thing ongoing, and international sanctions placed on russians in russia, it's possible he had to hire someone to speak and operate his channel for him from outside of the country, and he's just dealing with the sanctions as best he can for a youtuber.

I do not think that was truly his voice. In a couple of his older videos, you can barely hear the voice speaking Russian with the voice we were accustomed to on top of. Besides, if you go back on his videos, this is not the first time the voice changed to another before returning.

Those little tracks around the tritium in the cloud chamber are most likely photoelectrons emitted when the Bremsstrahlung x-rays hit molecules in the air. As the max energy is about 18 keV and most of it is way below that, the electron tracks are very short and not straight

Thank you for your videos, very interesting channel. 14:50 You right 👍This is X-Ray of bremsstrahlung radiation. Beta particles of tritium decay (energy 18.5keV) doesn't pass trough skin, can penetrate max 6mm of air, no glass, but weak x-ray can escape out and you can detect it. I have a Ludlum Model 44-1 beta (only beta) scintillation probe and is impossible to detect a vial of tritium, but a simple pancake or geiger tube with thin mica window can detect x-ray. You can survey tritiated water or tritium relased in air with a Windowless Gas Flow Proportional Detector, specialized for tritium detection like 44-110, but is very difficult to do.
