😍 You would think with the power feed setup this way would cause the material to catch on the out feed fence, or do you set the fence slightly back to prevent this?
@Bubbybub00774 ай бұрын
It should be set back slightly, yes. It does depend on the cut being done however. Many people will remove the aluminum fences and replace them with an MDF board. This way they can run the shaper head through the MDF and create a zero-tolerance fence. Unfortunately this will be unique to the head being used and the specific height of the head.

Other than the beginning, I can't see much of anything.

That fence needs to move closer to the cutter head. Can hear the snipe at the end
@spendtimesavemoneydiy11 ай бұрын
The fence was as close as practically possible. A piece that thin taking off that much material will chatter a bit at the end. If you really wanted to criticise the video you should have told me to use a sacrificial fence and break through for zero clearance. Remember it's easy to criticise my friend 👍🏼
@charlesparker92411 ай бұрын
You should of used a sacrificial fence ;) or even consider two passes. One back cut using the powerfeed then a light pass foward to finish. No break out or snipe. I wasn't criticising. Think you took it to heart

@@charlesparker924 The amount of trolls on KZbin I try not to take negative comments to heart, I usually just come back with a dose of sarcasm 🤣 A second pass would be extremely difficult because there is no flat face for support and it would wobble too much. 👍🏼
@charlesparker92411 ай бұрын
Yeah you are right the second pass would be difficult. Don't know what I was thinking. Been a couple years since of set up and run spindle moulders. Only run an 8 head moulder these days. But prefer spindle moulders.

@@charlesparker924 I love spindle moulders. I could play on them all day. I miss the industrial size ones I used to use now I just have this little Kity one but it's a great little machine 👍🏼
