Thanks Lee - very helpful. Just bought an angle grinder ( Makita 9000 ) for the first time. The instructions were useless! Without your video I would not have worked out how to fit the guard. ( or the disk the right way up). Great tip about only using the spanner to undo it - I would have been tightening it up too much with it as well. I'm glad experienced people like you give first timers a chance to learn. Got my gloves on as well and it all worked fine.

Thanks mate, for the life of me, I couldn't work out why the guard would still spin (the one I have has a moving latch to tighten it) and all I needed to do was tighten the screw after latched on. Silly me, your video saved me.

Hello from the States! I’ve been kicking my own ass with this angle grinder. My guard won’t tighten down and I’ve worn down the top of the bolt now, so off to look for another bolt that will fit that thread. Just wanted to say thank you for your video. I might be a girl and all, 😉 but your video was by far the most detailed I’ve watched yet!! Thank you!

Hello hope you’re well When you find another bolt maybe add a bit of “thread lock fluid “ if you want it to stay tight it may help Thank you for your nice comments

What kind of disc is that? Cutting or grinding?

It's the metal grinding disc that comes in the box.

Brilliant video. I bought a Wickes grinder, and the instructions about fitting both blade and safely guard were absolutely terrible to understand.....unlike your video!
