Makita 36V Aussie FIRST Cut Mower Review.

Check out a mower review with a bit of a difference.
An absolute first cut and initial thoughts on the Makita 36V Battery powered mower.
After a long deliberation and not much substance behind making the decision I finally ordered one of these Makita mowers.
I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome and hopefully this video might help some other aussies make a decision on this mower of they are thinking about it.

I run a commercial gardening business. I can say the makita hedge trimmers and chain saws are awesome. Iv got this mower. Perfect for Sunday Mow’s.

Good to hear from someone who uses these for a living. Yeah I agree with the trimmers and chainsaws they work a treat. No problems so far with the mower also which is good 👍🏼

We got the 36v 21" Brushless Self Propelled Mower - Model: DLM536PT4X Retails $1,350 (As a Kit - charger and x4 5.0ah batteries) at Mitre 10 currently. Mowed Yesterday and Today for the first time. As i have Plantar Fasciitis (feet issues) mowing the lawn is quite a struggle for me. I learned quick as i'm only a short person that doesn't take big steps the turtle mode of the self propelled was perfect as the full power mode left me behind haha. Extremely happy with this mower. Not one person has done a review for the particular model we purchased this week which i found surprising. So been youtubing watching similar mowers. Thanks for the vid. Yeah you are right not many vids out there so thanks for taking the time as the instruction booklets offer bugger all on how to use the mowers and i had to do research on the tube before switching it on. For me the batteries are great as we have a heck of alot of lawn to mow so it did well as i conk out for a spell before the batteries do. My partner may have a different view when he goes to use it and he's 6 foot and full health so i'd say for him another 2 batteries on top of the 4 would be beneficial, but having said that we do have large double block properties in the country with 80% lawn 20% garden. This property has about 3x the amount of lawn you have and the other 4x. So... that would be the only reason. Also as here in the Snowy Mountains it's going to piss down with rain for a few days 8 am this morning i whizzed through the rest of the lawn while it was still wet through over night/morning dew. Cut like a breeze perfectly and no struggle at all.

Looks like a good mower. I find the electric motors cut better at a higher level.

I’ve found the mower works well when it has the opportunity to load up in thicker grass. A lot of torque in the electric motor and cuts well 😊

To recharge them they should sell a camping solar panel so saves you money and better for the world the only down side is they got to mine for solar panels and battery’s but still good savings and you don’t still fuel

Nothing comes for free mate there is always give and take isn’t there. The convenience of not having to store and get fuel now is a big win in my opinion and use batteries and chargers that I already had 🤙🏼

I can’t really comment on the EGO as I’ve had nothing to do with them so it’s not my place to compare. I’ve had the Makita for a while now and I’ve had no problems with it at all so far which is good. I think I mentioned in the vid that the main reason I went Makita was the fact that I already had their equipment and batteries so it was natural to go that way as opposed to getting another set of batteries and chargers purely for the mower. If starting from scratch for electric outdoor equipment it would definitely pay to do the rounds and see how they all compare together, availability, price and obviously recommendations. But all I can help you with is my thoughts and experience with this mower, which has been positive so far 😊
