Makita Cordless Lawn Mower DLM432Z / DLM432PT2 Test / Review (Extreme Undergrowth Test Included)

Test and field report after two months with this cordless lawn mower from Makita. Topics include: comparison with my old gasoline mower, battery performance with the original 5 AH batteries from Makita, operation and much more. The DLM432 is available in most of Europe in two accessory packages. The DLM432 "Z" comes naked, without battery and charger. The DLM432 "PT2" includes two 5 ampere hour original Makita rechargable batteries and a double charger. Sometimes the mulching plug is also included.

If you are going to mow longer grass i'd recommend using two 5 amp hour batteries.

I bought one of the larger ones that is self propelled and holds 4 batteries. We have a very large lawn and have been really happy with it. Glad the smaller ones are also good.

Yes, and it's still going strong. Never had a dissapointment with Makita and I own a lot of tools from them.

Great review! Unfortunately that fold up mechanism looks terrible (I have to fold and unfold each time). So sadly not for me.

Thanks! You're right, it wouldn't be fun for everyday use. I think in general these folding mechanisms are made for stowing the mower away at the end of the season and not for frequent usage.

Hi, it looks pretty much identical. There may be different type designations for different countries. I bought my DLM432 in Germany. Ususally with Makita they have a model code, in this case DLM432, followed by an accessory code. So "PT2" and "CT2" designate the included accessories witch seem to be the same.
