Iv had this mower a few years in my lawn mowing business as a light weight easy to lift small lawn areas been great. Am noticing areas of surface rust. But I’m saying that has spent time on a open tray in the rain. All so not all mowers have rear wheels hanging out behind mower deck which I like as you can lower down or up steps off rear wheels while holding on to handles which is great to.

Thanks for that note … I was wondering if this was aluminium - but with rust, likely is mild steel. If I spend good money, I’d rather spring for the aluminum I think.

Hey Tim, did you ever end up doing a review on this? Looking at it as a possible option to replace a Ryobi 36v that I'm not loving. Keen to know if a good experience!

Just got one yesterday. Problem; when using the mulcher plug tons of clippings pile up on top of it on the inside of the tub. Then when taking it back into the shed/across the driveway etc, every bump causes lots of those clippings to fall out and make a mess. Let alone when removing the plug, the stuff makes a huge mess.

I bought one today. I have all makita power tools and recently bought the whipper snipper... This mower wont start 😂 ive read the books, looked up why. It just dead.. might need to take it back. It would be just my luck i got a faulty one. All my tools from makita have been great, and last for years.

Have you put the little red key in the slot next to the batteries? That got me before I read the instructions.

Does it fold away and stand up vertically for storage?

Hey mate, how do you think the low sitting catcher will go when you inevitably lean back on the rear wheels to turn? I imagine it will rub on the ground. Even more so when full. - not taking a swipe. Just after your opinion.

It didn’t really stick out to me as low. Guess I’ll find out when I get it out in the wild ✌️

I think you need a review of this mower, most people wanna use their 18 volt batteries and not have to switch to a new platform which may not be available in 5 years time.

I made the mistake of buying one, what a piece of garbage, to top it off makita only has a 30 day replacement warranty if it breaks down. mine broke down after i used it 5 times (which was more than 30 days). I wanted my money back as i am not happy with it at all, but they refused. they repaired it and said you have to keep it. To make things worse it only has a 2 year warranty, so if it dies again out of warranty I'm out of pocket by $900, also something they dont tell you, if you dont have a bevy of makita tools and batteries, when these batteries die you are up for $300 odd dollars each. immagine if both go within 3-6 years, thats the price of a good petrol mower (which will last a lot longer than the electric one and it's batteries). you will noit use that much fuel in 3-6 years. Stay Away !!!
