I’ve got the stihl version they’re useful but not for anything over 15/20mm as the battery runs out proper quick. How’s the battery life on this?

Haven't used it for long enough yet but so far its managed some fair sized bits and battery looks ok, Will update once ive used it more. I thought about getting the stihl but this is a better option imo 👍

I've had my eye on these... I'm hoping they make a 40v version as I don't own any 18v batteries... Still looks decent

I wasnt going to get 1 but a job came up that's ideal for it so I couldn't resist, plus got it at a cheap price 😄. I can see myself using quite often now though. Not sure they would make a 40v one of these. 👍

@@RJLmachinery yeah why not hey... And yeah to be honest a 40v version would probably be overkill for a tool like this. I do really like the makita stuff... I use it daily 👍🏼

Even my wife was made in Germany! Hilders 1969! ✋🏻😂🤚🏻

Na no plans to upgrade, got too many 18v tools now 😅

@@RJLmachinery Mate i’m all confused I have the 18v long reach, 60cm small 18v hedge trimmer and 36v blower does the 2.5 XGT battery give out more power and run time as the 5ah or 6ah lxt batteries it’s just that i want to collect more items so don’t know weather to go XGT platform or just stay at LXT 🤪

@@russelldownesdownes5618 I dont really know much about the xgt batteries. LXT will be around for awhile i spec, but it wont be the future i doubt. Tough one to call really 👍
