My father destroyed a 7900in 10days of cutting because he pushed it too hard . They said it needs 500eurow to repaired the damages . I would not advise anyone to take them too fragile and the parts are extremely expensive .

@@ΑλεξανδροςΑμανατιδης-ι7ε that's 100% pure bullshit! Not possible. Maybe in 10yrs. First of all, why would you have to push it? Sharpen the chain. Let the saw do the work. I hardly ever have to push or use the bucking spikes. If you do, then your chain is not sharp or sharpened incorrectly. A correctly sharpened chain should basically pull itself through the wood. Only way to destroy that Dolmar in 10 days, is run it over with the skidder!

A minha desta aí chega segunda feira comprei no mercado livre.Vou ver se é boa de fato ,sempre tive sthil ,a minha 038 magnum da sthil já está bem surrada surrada .Resolvi tentar outra marca tive uma husqvarna 390 xp e agora tenho também uma 353 .A 390 xp incomodou bastante,a 353 está indo bem ,mas é melhor.Agora vamos testar a Makita ,e deixar descansar um pouco a 038 ,que na minha opinião depois da 08 é a melhor serra para aguentar tanto tempo dando pouca manutenção.

Got 2 of em , the 7900s. Love em, little work horses, only issue I have is the starter wire pops off occasionally...but I use em hard. Also why are they red in america , not blue?

Stop engaging the chain brake when u first start to crank it up..that brake stalls the engine alot of times..do not touch the chain brake at all when u r cranking it up that way the engine will cycle with no restrictions then after it's running for bout one or two seconds just quickly press trigger one time it will slow the RPM down ..

@@poparamiro no prob tho just gets on my nerves when I see the casual homeowner engaged the chain brake then try to crank saw up and it just bogs down I have a Makita 6421 which is a 64 cc saw I love mine she is a BEAST hase plenty of power at all times Yours is a 7900 which is 78.5cc I would like to have one likes ura also but I got 14 saws I'm kinda a saw junkie..lol..I just love to look at them in my building lol..stay safe

Maybe time to read your owners manual! The saw is desgned to be started with the chain brake ON for safety reasons. If it is hard to start this way then you have flooded it or it is not tuned correctly.

It's made in Germany, not Japan. Makita bought Dolmar around 1991. Its just makita color, still a Dolmar. Here in the United States they went back to original Dolmar color. The makita color was like camouflage in the woods.

You NEVER start a chainsaw in the manner you did, especially large displacement saws. You place the tool on the ground and put your right foot on the base of the handle and your left hand on the top handle. Then, you pull the starting cord. This is not only MUCH safer but it results in quicker starting.
