The loop at 2:50 is for sockets that break intentionally when they’re at the end of their life cycle or under too much stress. The piece that the string is tied to would otherwise fall.

Why do we have to choose between charging dock OR batteries? For the lawnmower robot and vacuum robot and stick vacs etc, should really take regular batteries and also be able to charge on a dock without removing them.

I don't get why makita haven't made those little saws with track that connects to them. so you can use them like the festool or mafell cross cut saws. Do that on a 6 inch saw with a high output 40v 4Ah battery and sell it for 200 or 300 less then festool or mafells kits and they would do well on it.

Do any mowers use GPS and wire? The wire ones waste a lot of time doing a random pattern. A combination of overall location and precision edge identification would be ideal.

The loop under impact driver, think multiple bits. Robinson, torx, pozi bits all on strings, not going missing especially up a ladder

I don't know if you covered it or not, but Makita also had a 40V max XGT® Walk Behind Floor Sweeper (GSV01) at the world of concrete. Another interesting find is the latest brochure on Makita France on p4 seems to show a bl4025f high output battery possibly.

I like my lxt 16g nailer. The quarter of a second wait when you pull the trigger is not a big deal to me. Edit: My 3/4 xgt impact leaks grease and pushes the gasket out all the time had it sent off twice now and it's starting to happen again Another edit: please get the xgt grease gun out I ould very much like one. Your lxt one already works very well. Just rewire it for 36v and get it out the door

Tether must be specifically for working at heights. Someone in japan prob had a philips bit land on their head. 300 pages of reporting later and now all workers at height have to secure their bits. Edit: Having said that, Japan is one of the loosest countries for height safety. Saw so many dodgy ladders permanently tied with rope to 60deg roofs, and even saw a guy 4 stories up in Tokyo changing an old school paper billboard with no harness and just his hooked ladder loosely tied on.

Until Makita lxt comes out with a 8ah performance battery I think the kne is a dead end. The x2 system is not great, especially as Dewalt and Milwaukee can do the same with one battery.

why they didint made replacable battery to use what you have. Right now people have bunch of batterys would be happy to use them non stop, also wire is garbage, other companies make gps type and ignore all wire problems, there is plenty of cheap good robots which does all no need wire and all have theyr battery replacable. what are they thinking makita is like far behind brain. why not use those replacable battery which you have from tools, it will finish those old batterys and its ok, people know ow its old battery and will buy new! sell with few big batteries like xgt line and you sell easy. i myself cant change and many people also, as petrol lawnmower is like unkilable if you bought great brand and service it

Naah, the wired mowers suck soo much. Everytime I do some yard work and plant a few things somehow the wire gets cut and I have to ruin half the garden to fish out the now sunk in wire to solder it back together. This mower is also the stupidest kind, as in literally stupid, just bouncing from one end of a wire, turning some amount and randomly going off again. There are so many better mowers now that actually keep track of the mowing progress, this is obsolete and just technology I had on my 2014 Worx mower. Doubt Makita builds this thing themselves, if they do this is embarrassing

lawnmover is garbage dont buy. other brands basically all of them, has lawnmover where you change battery from your tools. this means than battery dies and it willl die in lawnmover in makita you will need to buy all lawnmover and they cost lots of money. while on other brands you simple grab new battery stick in done. makita will not sell battery for this machine all you need to know. Now wire is horrible, it will start wire rot, in few years , water intrussion, also if you dig you will cut, soil has such ability to spit it out, than instal it will not detect and so on as wire is too deep, a ton of problems you forget and you cut wire, or lawncare company does that or you do that with trimmer while edging and so on. if you want to plant new plant than again you need to redig redone all. with gps is simple you make them once done made mistake and you will easy to redo its soft no work, not so hard, people say hard cause of app people are dumb dont know how to use it and so on. charge point must be hidden, pin means nothing. Best machine aer simple where you make machine yourself where to go similar to vacum cleaners.
