I’m on this phase in my restore . I like how you interlock the stringers towards the bow instead of installing them side by side . Thank you as I continue to be educated. Keep up the great work .

Nice work! When replacing stringers, it helps to hang the boat by the bow eye and stern eyes to give it a natural shape for the new stringer install.

Hey Dylan. I see you are using flapper discs. I also use to do this until I discovered a carbide disc that you can get from a pool maintenance shop. They last 5 times longer and work sooo much faster. I am currently restoring a ski nautique and am so grateful I ran into these discs. Thanks for the content from Cape Town South Africa

I bedded my stringers in a Grady the other way. Marked the line on the hull with a marker and place the CSM fibers, Cabosil, and I used Polyester. Then laid the stringers in. Had about a half inch bed for the stringers as you do not want them on touching the hull. I laid them in just enough to start to Ozzy and then created a nice taper line for the 1708 to lay in flat. LOL I meant to say you have the every thing protected except your feet....

Hey Man, awesome job and really appreciate you sharing all your know how. My dad and I just started a full restoration on our 73 mako 19. My dad bought it new and it’s been the family heir loom all these years. These videos have been a huge help for us. Question on stringers, can you share a little more on how you trace the hull curvature onto cardboard for the new stringers? Want to make sure I get that right with the curve of the boat. Any advice would be huge! Thank you!

How many Coosa boards were required to complete the stringers?
@dylanbefishing11 ай бұрын
It’s either 1 or 2 I’ll have to check the invoices

Hey brotha how many coosa boards did you up needing for the install, my restoration is about 16 ft and thinking of using coosa
@dylanbefishing11 ай бұрын
I’ll have to check but you’ll be fine with 1 or 2 sheets for the stringers and bulkhead.

Good work. One thing, your voice is mixed way lower than the music, and the music is mixed really high compared to other channels. Net effect... I just skip most of it because I can't be bothered to change the sound level ever time you speak. Sorry. But if I'm doing it then a lot of other people probably are too.
