Hello Dylan Thanks for the video. I have done everything you did in the video. The #2 LED on my EMM is still lit and the engine will not stay running (it runs and then shuts off) any idea how to get the EMM LED to reset?

Hey Man, awesome job and really appreciate you sharing all your know how. My dad and I just started a full restoration on our 73 mako 19. My dad bought it new and it’s been the family heir loom all these years. These videos have been a huge help for us. Question on stringers, can you share a little more on how you trace the hull curvature onto cardboard for the new stringers? Want to make sure I get that right with the curve of the boat. Any advice would be huge! Thank you!

Etec has to be the worst designed outboard ever made. What dumbass engineer would make injectors the size of a baseball? And you what? Let’s make it even more of a pain of the ass and make the injectors different for each cylinder. Why?? Fucking dumb

What do you recommend to fill smaller holes? Like filling the holes for the t top to then re-drill into them. T top screws seem a bit loose.

Could you please do a video on replacing an EMM ? I would like to know if it can be done without involving a dealer. Thanks!

Hi my brother. I am presently repairing a 17 ft mako. The stringers are rotting and there are dry spots in the Woven roving on the floor. I know I have to repair those, but the side of the boat songs a bit hollow. The side are originally done with woven roving too. I am wondering if the hollow song in the sides need to be strengthen as well? Please let me know your thoughts.

Dylan !!!! I have a question for you. I'm restoring a 1976 Mako-17 angler. i cut out the old transom and I measure 3/4 inch for my transom. how thick is your transom ?? You are doing great on your Mako-17....

Awesome work Dylan, that thing is going to last a lifetime. The guys on Classic Mako would love this thread. What type of outboard do you plan on going with? Not sure how much longer the Johnson on my 171 has left, wondering if a newer 4 stroke will be too heavy or not.

Dude don’t dump the silica on the ground. If your dog swallows or breathes it in it can cause cancer of their lungs or stomach! Sweet live well and floors.

Hey around 3:30 to 4:20 can you explain why you laid all that in the keel and what you did with the mixture there? Did you pour all that resin to let it hold the stringer while you set it, or let it dry and set stringer on top?
